Fishing Checklist

Checklists are a good habit to get into when you prepare for an outing. Print this one out, make your own additions, and maybe you can avoid that, "Oh, no, I forgot..." scenario.

A current license for the state where you plan to fish
Written permission to enter private waters
Hats, sunglasses, bandannas, sunscreen and other such solar protection
A small knapsack or backpack so you can leave big tackle boxes in the truck and carry just what you’ll need that day
Two coolers; one for beverages, one for fish
Lots of liquids (water, soda, sports drink)
Fingernail clippers, on a string around your neck
The strongest bug repellent you can tolerate
A small compass
A plastic bag for trash
A small fixed-blade knife and a pair of pliers
