What is Catalytic Heat?
Efficient and environmentally friendly. Catalytic heat produces fewer carbon monoxide (CO) emissions. In the catalytic process, propane is brought into contact with oxygen in the air and a catalyst to cause a chemical reaction. The result creates heat.
A flameless, more secure heat is produced when propane and oxygen react with a platinum catalyst. In a catalytic heater, the burning occurs within the pad at a lower temperature than a normal flame.
