Picked this grill up last year for our week long outing to the races every year. Grill has a lot of cooking area and sets up real easy. You can get a full size griddle for it too for doing breakfast (you can actually take the griddle and throw it on your stove at home as well). We had a problem with the regulator the second time we used it and at the time we needed a grill so we went and picked up the Paul Jr. grill. Both grills are great and I would highly reccomend them. THe most important advice I could give somebody about this grill is to make sure not to lose that regulator! I have a couple friends that have these as well and they seem to all be missing the regulator.
As for cooking on the grill it does that very well! This grill comes with a full length grilling surface as opposed to the others that come in 2 pieces, but this one does not not have the solid centers like the others, its a full length slotted design. We cooked every night on it and never had bad food or burned anything.
When you transport this thing inside a car be sure to put a couple dish or hand towels between all the layers (grill, catch pan and base) because they just rattle the whole time you are driving and it can make you a little crazy!!
