A new line of 14 daypacks from Coleman blends the colors and backpack savvy of the great outdoors with the contemporary styles, needs and preferences of young consumers who carry laptop computers, want dedicated pockets for a cell phone, MP3 players, water bottles and more.

Built to Coleman’s rugged outdoor standards using 600D polyester material and other state-of-the-art fabrics and construction features, the new daypacks are styled to be right at home on virtually any campus, street or trail. The packs are offered in two 20-liter configurations sized for kids, plus a 25-liter, two 30-liter models in a total of four color combinations, and two 35-liter designs in four color choices.

The collection uses base color blocks of black with shades of gray, while letting the top sections and accent panels carry the earthy hues of browns, blues, oats, pumpkin, cranberry and greens.
Designed for distribution via the sporting goods retail channels, the suggested retail prices range from $24.99 and $29.99 for kids’ models and $34.99 to $84.99 for larger packs with more features.

In addition, there are two two-liter hydration packs, one in dark gray and green, and the other in dark gray and orange. Suggested retail price is $40. All packs will be available Spring 2009.
