I have used Coleman stoves for the better part of 30 years. Over the years have used a Coleman version of the M-1950, Model 520, and a Peak 1. Recently I purchased a Exponent and quite impressed. It started easily and maintained a roaring blue flame for the 2.5 minutes it took to boil a quart of water. The stove remained level (the leveling band is not needed) and proved difficult to tip over. I would prefer metal feet rather than plastic as metal is more robust.
I would like to see an aluminum or stainless steel case/pot system similar to the M1950 and Military Peak 1 stoves for the Exponant. Other than personal preference for stove feet and metal case/pot the stove is outstanding!

I have the Peak 1 branded version of the 550B Multifuel stove. So far I've only run it on Coleman fuel. It's effective and doesn't soot the pans but you must follow the instructions carefully. I'd recommend a decent gas lighter rather than matches because it will flare up when first lit (always have the lighter/match flame ready THEN turn on the gas, not the other way round). Mine does settle down to a roaring blue flame within 10 seconds. Try to avoid running it on the very highest flame setting as it tends to lose pressure and flame out; back it off slightly and it will keep running on its own.
