AT COLEMAN... THE COOLER COMPANY
We’ve invested in the environment at The Coleman Company. With our world-famous hard-sided coolers. Each is made with ThermOZONE™ Insulation—industry-leading foam that’s free from CFCs, HFCs and HCFCs, as required by law.
Since making the change at all our factories, we’ve reduced our carbon emissions from foam at each manufacturing facility by 99.7%, while still providing the same great insulating power you’ve come to expect from the Coleman® name.
We’re reducing our carbon footprint further by changing the way we ship some of our coolers. The new design trims down the amount of cardboard we use at our flagship facility in Wichita, Kansas. In 2013 alone, we expect to reduce carbon emissions another 60 tons by cutting out 6.9 million sq. ft. of cardboard we use to get our 28 Qt. Coolers and 48 Qt. Coolers to retailers. It’s a plan we expect to expand in the coming years. Our engineers are already studying how to add more coolers in 2014.
