The BEST
Just toss out those whimpy stakes that come with everything they're not worth the metal or plastic they're made from. These are the best stakes you can buy. They're sturdy. They stay put. They can be pounded into any soil condition. Just remember the bottom of the stake gets angled in toward the tent or pole so the top of the stake is angled away from the tent or pole. Like this (/) but a greater angle. Wind will not pull this stake out if you set it right. Wish I could find these in the stores for a quicker purchase!

Best Tent Stake, Won’t Pull Out
Other stakes tend to pull up in wind, this one longer and with shape resulting in better soil “grab.”
