Rated 3 out of 5 by medina8588 from not durable We bought a Coleman 12X12 Instant sun Shelter, we used it for our week out in Galveston Tx and thought everything was good. On our second day out there, it rained a bit. We were sitting under the canopy while it was raining (not a heavy down pour or crazy wind and rain), just a nice rainy day. Two sides of the canopy colapse and bend the frames on the both sides. It was very frustrating because we were told it could withstand some good weather. Like I said, it wasn't crazy rain or windy. Where I bought it, they won't let me return it and I am stuck with a broken canopy. And I can not get any help from anywhere to replace it or fix it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DonnaR from EXPECTED MUCH BETTER FROM COLEMAN Purchased for $170 , second time using the frame broke after some rain while camping. There was no wind, the steaks and tie downs were still grounded. Very disappointed as I expected much better from Coleman. I called customer service and expressed that several reviews stated the same situation. The solution the representative offered me was to purchased another shelter for the price of $179. She stated there were no replacement parts for this model. Now that I think about it, we purchased two Coleman chairs that fell apart to, screws loosened and came out, just such a bummer- you purchase a brand that has been known for quality for years, and like many others, these days, they manufacture for profit, and not craftsmanship.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MOdom from Poorly made, broke with once use Purchased 2 through Amazon for a Special Olympics event. After one use, they both cannot be used again. The cross bars snapped with one use. I don't recommend purchasing the product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by noColeman from Basic design flaw for model 2000004411 We had a previous version of the Coleman 12x12 and loved it. After about 8 years, it finally blew apart in a thunderstorm, so we purchased the referenced model. The main struts do not, with this design, fit into the very center structural piece at the top the way the original did. Instead, there is a pyramid-shaped set of struts that moves up and down as the structure is set up, but no way to lock it in. With any wind at all (over 8 knots), the side accordian struts to windward bends, causing the top to fall down, causing the whole structure to basically fail. We fixed it by lashing the top struts, and I plan on drilling small holes in which to put capture pins to keep that part in place. However, I shouldn't have to do that, should I... :) This is a poorly designed product, do not buy it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Junebug from Didn't last long Bought this last year for the size so we could have more coverage when we go camping and it worked great for that. But after the second use and a little wind the one support bar busted which my husband fixed. Now after the 5th use the cover has holes where the bars rub so we had to fix them. I am so disappointed in this canopy, expected better for a Coleman. We had a cheaper one that lasted 10 years before it went in the garbage. Won't waste my money on another from this company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nancy from affordable and it works! This is used at the beach in NC, the wind can really pick up and this stands sturdy and strong, its great you can lower the poles on one side where the sun is the strongest. We love it, and would definitely purchase from Coleman again. Thank you. Would definitely recommend this product.
