Rated 3 out of 5 by GDLite from Great Container with weak Faucet Assembly This is an old favorite in my camping gear, but the "redesigned" Faucet Assembly is weak at best. The original version of the faucet lasted 15 + years of rugged use, the container itself is STILL in great shape! However, the latest version has to be handled with extreme care or the faucet twisty handle will break off easily within weeks. The plastic is too thin at that point and will not stand up to anything above delicate use. Please bring back the old faucet design and you will have a customer for life!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Wet floor in PA from Nice container, but spigot is destined for failure Got this for the cabin where I have used it only a few times moving it from downstairs (water source) to the upstairs kitchen. The last visit, the spigot lever cracked, and this time it simply broke off. This was not abused. The lever plastic molding is very thin and upon examination, it's no surprise that it broke. There's no reason Coleman needed to save 0.3 cents on plastic. This must have been yet another design intended to fail. Though the blue container seems well made, a broken spigot makes it totally useless. So, 1 star overall.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JeSonge from Spigot handle assembly breaks within 2 weeks. I have had a jug like this one that lasted over 10 years of regular summer camping use and it finally cracked last summer, so I replaced it with this new version. The jug is of good quality - however the handle spigot assembly is complete junk. I had to order a replacement at $10 (from Amazon b/c Coleman doesn't even have them!) and the new replacement lasted exactly 2 weeks of normal use before breaking. I will probably cobble together my own assembly out of plumbing parts I can buy at the hardware store - but I shouldn't have to! Coleman should quit selling these until they get a better spigot assembly. I've now spent over $25 on this jug and will have to spend more to get it functional again. Grrrrr!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Smart Guy from Defective Faucet The faucet handle breaks off during NORMAL USE. The blue container part is nice, but it doesn't do me any good if the faucet is busted. I called about a replacement faucet a couple months ago. The Coleman representative said that the replacement faucets would be available in November. It is now December 17th and they are STILL not available on the website (or anywhere else for that matter).

Rated 1 out of 5 by Warren from I bought two - Valves broke on the first outing... And now I've been waiting almost 4 months for replacements - Had to go buy two more from a different manufacturer so we could camp. Don't by these - Wasted money. :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by marsbar42 from Not worth it I have bought 4 of these (I should have learned). All 4 have had the faucet break. I was told they would have replacements in Nov. Didn't happen. Then was told the middle of Dec. We'll see.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JNL1 from Pretty much Junk We have two of these, worst $30+ we have spent. Valve/spigot broke very quickly. Would never buy another. See where some say they have replacement caps/valves but same quality and at a price of $10. Why would I buy a $10 cap for a $15 Jug

Rated 1 out of 5 by Brillo from coleman 5 gallon water carrier jug spigot I purchased 2 Coleman 5 gallon jugs for use during a hard freeze. The spigot valve handle broke after three uses and had to use pliers to open and close. Replacement part is about $10 but quality is still poor.
