55-Quart Heavy-Duty Super Cooler
The Coleman 55-Quart Heavy-Duty Super Cooler is designed for the rough and wild, be it a fishing expedition on the high seas or an epic camping trip in the wilderness. UVGuard material protects it from the sun's damaging rays, and integrated corrosion-resistant hinges and catch-free recessed rubber latches secure the antimicrobial liner in a virtually indestructible outer shell. In fact, once you slip a padlock into the lock slot, this chest is certified to resist even hungry grizzly bears. Thick insulation up to 2.5 inches and a tight-fitting gasket seal around the lid mean your cooler will keep food or the day’s catch cold and will retain ice for 6 days at temps up to 90°F. Nonskid feet ensure your cooler stays where you want it, and tie-down points give you the option to secure the cooler to, say, your boat deck while leaving the lid free to open and close. When it’s time to pack up, extended-length rope handles with durable soft-touch grips make carrying comfortable. This tough, American-made cooler doesn't just survive rough conditions—it thrives in them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Geriatricsailer from Huge for the volume to be cooled OK, maybe a sickness to keep improving what we have. Best feature is the basket to keep stuff out of the water. Next is the sturdy hinge. Not sure if such a thick insulation and heavy cooler is necessary. Our 20 year old Coleman 52 qt Extreme cooler with less than 1 inch insulation keeps ice for 7 days; rated for 5. Keep it in shade, cover with blankets or towels. At 2 inches thick, this cooler has to be longer; rated at 6 days. The hinge on old cooler is holding up great. Fell in love with the red or blue, but bought the white because it reflects the sun--probably better functionally. But 2 plus inches thick, go for the colorful! Always wanted a red Coleman cooler... Not a fancy materials like the super expensive newer coolers.

Rated 3 out of 5 by falechia from cost with our discount I like the size and the big drain hole but doesn't hold ice for 6 days like it says, I put 3 bags of ice in it and it was nothing but water in it after the end of the 2nd day. And it wasn't opened and closed a lot either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Whip from Great on my boat I use this cooler when cruising the Maine coast for my lobsterboat for 10 days. It keeps ice so much better than previous coolers that the additional cost is worth it in savings on ice purchases.
