6-Person Dark Room Sundome Tent
Set up camp in the compact yet spacious Coleman 6-Person Dark Room Sundome Tent. Dark Room technology blocks 90% of sunlight so families can put the kids to bed early and festival goers can sleep in past sunrise; it also reduces temperatures in the tent, letting your group enjoy a comfortable night's sleep. If it rains, this tent is guaranteed to keep you dry thanks to the WeatherTec system, which uses a tub floor with patented corner welds and protected seams to help keep water out. You'll get even more weather protection from a door awning and an included rainfly. Meanwhile, the compact dome shape and strong frame have been tested to withstand 35+ mph winds. Two windows increase air circulation to help you stay cool and comfortable. Setup is simple with snag-free, continuous pole sleeves, a patented pin-and-ring system, and snag-free Insta-Clip suspension. Inside, comfortably stretch out with room to fit 2 queen-size airbeds, neatly stash small items in mesh storage pockets sewn into the walls, and conveniently bring in electrical power with the E-Port feature. Rated 1 out of 5 by KB Chicago from Leaked like a sieve It was like I didnt even have the fly on. One rainstorm and we had water pouring in. We had puddles through out the tent. We even took pictures of the water dripping in through the seams. Yes, we had the fly on and yes it was staked correctly. Luckily we cleared most of our stuff out of the tent or it would have all been ruined. If you plan on camping only in dry weather where rain is not a possibility then this is great. Otherwise, steer clear of this tent or have a hotel room as a back up. Plus Coleman doesn't warranty anything past a year so also be prepared to buy a new tent every 13 months.

Rated 1 out of 5 by drew7272 from Not the quality you would expect from Coleman My wife and I purchased this tent for Memorial Day weekend and had high hopes. Upon setting up the tent one of the corner gussets that holds the tent pole broke and separated from the tent itself. After double staking that corner we noticed that the cheap nylon material meant to hold the 4-way connector in place at the top of the tent had also separated from the tent. We didn’t even set foot inside before 2 things had already broke. We had no choice but to make due as we didn’t want this to ruin our weekend, but overall a huge let down. The tent was nice and spacious inside and the dark room technology was pretty nice to keep the temperature down inside the tent. Other than that and the color scheme this tent really has nothing going for it. We will be returning the tent and choosing something more durable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mr Russ from Coleman tents are no longer a good deal Like others, the first time we used this tent, the plastic socket that holds the end of the tent pole broke off. The only solution was to push the tent pole into the ground for the weekend. Called Coleman, and they told us they would not replace the product under warrenty - they said to take it back to Costco where we purchased the tent. Costco was great and handled the return. I'll steer clear of Coleman products in the future - the products and company are not what they once were.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Realsteel85 from Great tent Best tent I have ecer purchased. I love the dark room technology. Been able to keep the tent cooler and I been able to sleep in longer. Only issue I have with the tent is after set up for two days the fiberglass poles are bending. I’m not sure how long till one breaks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by As915 from Fell Apart on the First Use We bought this tent to upgrade a 25 year old tent by a different company (still going strong btw). We used it this past weekend for the first time, and it was awful. We were in an area that happened to get windy during the day. Two of our poles completely split in multiple places. Mind you none of the other tents in the area has this issue. Thankfully we had duct tape to rectify the situation so we could sleep in it that night. I will say the dark room technology helped in the heat of the morning from the sun. Additionally it was nice to have some open air breeze from the open sides, but as I’m reading in other reviews that may not be good when it rains. I will be returning this tent and looking elsewhere.

Rated 3 out of 5 by SweetWiily from Good enough... Returned the Coleman 7man quick set up tent that broke on the 3rd use for this. Cabellas was great. This has a more familiar set up to another 20 yr quality tent I still have. Poles seem strong, easy set up. Did not like that the 2 walls are entirely mesh with no option to block. In the Colorado Rockies it is often windy and spring and fall nights can be cold. This seems like a hassle to keep warm. It -was windy and I staked it down solidly with 9" nail stakes. (Love the reflective cords) tent held firm in 20 mph gusts, and surprisingly only a mild breeze inside. Roomy, compact, like the "darkroom". Zippers and stress points all seemed strong. I did buy the $30 protection from Cabellas. : (

Rated 4 out of 5 by kanjiattache from Not My Tent But Good I bought this tent for a friend to replace his tent which requires the Army Corps of engineers to put up. I was looking for a comfortable size tent for two or three with minimal number of poles and conventional construction (no hinges and minimal plastic parts). A couple of the other reviewers here seem to have bought the Costco Fast-Pitch version of this tent by their description and have confused it for this tent. I had my friend pitch the tent for me to make sure it this was not a Fast-Pitch edition which has a different pole system and more plastic parts. I cannot speak to its ability to hold out water but it certainly keeps out the light. We are fair weather campers anyhow. The poles and construction are generally more durable than my own tents and I believe this tent will serve him well. I am going to drop a star because the clips that hold the sides to the shape of the poles appear rather frail as they are quite narrowly molded. While they are no doubt strong enough for the purpose of holding up the sides of the tent, I wonder how long they hold up to the strain of being snapped on and off the poles.
