Rated 5 out of 5 by heavy juice from Excellent Value This cooler has never been in temperatures above 80 degrees and I do my best to keep it shaded and I don't load it until it has held ice water for at least 24 hours. With those qualifiers I am totally impressed with its ice-retention ability. As with any cooler it keeps block ice frozen longer than ice cubes so I use at least 50% block ice. Under the above conditions and with lid openings minimized this cooler has had no trouble keeping ice for five (5) days. It is plenty sturdy and the seal around the lid is very tight. I paid less than $65 (free shipping) and am quite pleased with the cooler's performance and the value it offers. It's the best cooler I've ever owned and I have no reservations about recommending it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AnnieB from Great for camping I liked this xtreme cooler that I bought two more different sizes. I am really happy with how long ice will last in them keeping food cold. I make sure they are out of direct sun and will cover them to keep the heat off them. I watched a video review with 6 different coolers including yeti. It held up against all of them going toe to toe with the yeti. And this cooler is way more affordable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by trendy90210 from Best value for your buck ! I've used this , when the power goes out from storms and hurricanes . I have alot of blue ice that I use and it last longer than regular ice . I have enough for this Coleman 70Q extreme and the freezer . I also use it for beer and have kept crushed ice for 7 days , by putting new blue ice from the freezer on top the crushed ice , every day . During storms when the power may be out for weeks , I use mostly blue Ice which I can depend on longer and bring a refill from work , after a week . Walmart has good deals on these Coleman coolers and you are getting alot for your money ! when I say blue ice I mean ice substitute gel , which they call it today . before a storm ,you can freeze 2 liter bottles of water , which also last longer than crushed ice . this cooler has served me well and outperforms my 20 year old cooler, of another brand . will purchase another one soon and for the price , nothing beats coleman .

Rated 4 out of 5 by 1100 Remington Man from Nice Cooler at fair price I picked up this cooler in Fairbanks Alaska to bring home a Caribou and I picked up 100lbs of processed meat, steaks and hamburger and all organic and it fit with good packing. It tool 20 hours to fly home. In that time even with TSA taking all my meat out and inspecting it when I returned home is was still frozen. Even the handles were still on when it came out onto the baggage carousel. Yes this cooler is a great buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bigtime from Affordable and holds up under stress! I've used this cooler pretty regularly for the past 6 years, from loading all kinds of food for trips, car camping, etc. It's held thousands of beers and lots of ice. For a while this was my main hunting cooler which I used for all kinds of game. I have a lot of respect for this thing. I've only got a couple things I think you should know before your purchase: 1) Well packed, I think it keeps ice pretty well. But if you're needing a single 10-lb bag of ice to make it 5 days, this isn't the cooler. If you cut the bag and use to cool beers, I think you're closer to 2 days. 2) There is a little plastic warping now, probably after a few too many times stuffing the cooler to the max. The result is that there's a little bulge to the cooler, though it's not obvious. I'm curious if the seal is still good. At any rate, it carried out 2 small deer (quartered) a couple weekends back on a bag of ice (after the deer had been cooled) and it did ok. For the price, $60-$80 for a cooler for 5+ years isn't that bad. Especially since the hinges are still working great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Auntshaw from Durable and effective My Dad and I have had our cooler for along time. So long that the handles have broken off. We use our 70 quart cooler for fishing. It always keeps our fish nice and cold on the boat & the way home. It has never failed us. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ We have even used it to keep food cold when our refrigerator failed. This cooler is great!
