Rated 5 out of 5 by Driver from Old Cooler I have had my plugin cooler for 13 years now. The cooler has been reliable for me . I have only had to replace my plugin cord twice. The plug was shipped in a timely manner. Thank you. I have recommended this cooler for some of my co workers. They have not been as fortunate as I with the durability of these. Much newer . There plugin cords keep melting. Also 2 motors have been replaced. So I am reluctant to recommend this product anymore. Opinion , seem like the quality just may not be there anymore. The other drivers cooler are maybe 2 or 3 years old. They stopped using them . They are not happy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Gary N from With considerable adaptation it will work I ordered this cord after a search using the model number of our cooler showed this as the replacement. It arrived and I could see a problem. The ends were male, while the originals were female. The plastic piece anchoring the cord in the frame also was a different shape. Apparently this cord is for newer models. No cord is available for older ones. I bought female auto electric connectors and replaced the originals. I had to cut the "anchor" piece to make it fit. The connectors barely fit, using needle nose pliers to handle the wires. It works, but this cord should not come up as a replacement for this model. If you are handy, you can make it work. Otherwise, buy a new cooler.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Brock from Replacement of Power cord. I was travelling from Manitoba to Arizona when the power cord male connection failed because it over heated. I replaced the cord and it is now working again. I am not all that happy with the unit sa I had already replace the outside fan and had to replace the inside cooler fan that you do not provide a part for. I had to go to a computer store and obtain a fan from them. You should put better quality parts in your cooler, as I do not see myself buying another one do the number of times I had to fix it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bernie from Power cord for cooler I have had to purchase several replacement power cords for our Coleman cooler. They work great but do not last as they seem to overheat and burn out. Since they are inexpensive, I usually purchase several to have on hand. I wish Coleman could fix the heat problem so the cords would last longer. But having a cooler that plugs into a lighter is very convenient so I overlook the cord problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by downtheroad from No instructions... The power cord replacement package came with no instructions on how to remove and replace the existing cord. It was only years of DIY experience that helped me figure the steps needed to remove the fan housing cover etc.. Once the connectors were exposed, it was easy to figure out the removal and replacement process as one connector set is larger than the other. Putting the fan and cooling fins cover back on was confusing. There are no holes for the screws, the fan cover is only held in place by the tension of the four screws being forced between two cooling fins at the corners. This means that the fan cover is not tight and is just waiting to be knocked off, dropped and broken. This is a serious design flaw. For the price I paid, I expected better from Coleman's engineers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gud-vibrations from Exact Replacement I was so happy to be able to replace the power cord on my electric cooler. I have food sensitivities, and when I travel I take my food with me. This cooler has been a convenient and hassle free way to keep my perishables and I have come to depend on it. The cord fit perfectly, was easy to replace with the detailed and user friendly instructions, and had an improved design on the plug end that I was very impressed with. Thank you Coleman for your excellent customer support.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Velvet from Not lasting Put the plug on it is only last about a month and it burns out the quality of this plug has gotten worse over the years. We have used Colman’s coolers for 20+ years the past 2 years the quality has gone down hill

Rated 5 out of 5 by Liz1949 from Affordable They are easy to change out in a power cooler. Sometimes if the plug gets dropped against concrete it breaks the tiny wires and have one around makes it so easy to fix
