Rated 4 out of 5 by Vtpatman from A good luxury size shelter. I have been using my instant tent for 4 years now. 3 to 4 times a year for a week each time. As described it goes up in an instant. The floor and body are solid. The tent seals up tight or nearly entirely vents also. Great in hot and cold weather. Plenty of room for a queen sized bed table and chair when being used as extra space for guests. Or queen air bed and cots when camping. Rain will cascade right on to the door making it impossible to go in and out without getting tent and self entirely soaked so you need to buy the available fly and incorporate a tarp or canopy system. I raised my point Loma to cover 1/2 of the tent and have a covered porch. Fantastic combo.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kinkat from Not a happy camper! This is my first time camping in this tent and probably my last. The poles would not extend to full length and lock. It took 2 strong men to finally extend enough to make it work. 3 of the top extension poles had this problem. The poles were assembled backwards. My camping trip is over tomorrow and I am dreading breaking it down. I will comment on how that works out. I am disappointed that Coleman sold such faulty tent. I will be contacting customer service when I return home. I hear others did not have much luck with them. Coleman should stand by their products if they want to have loyal , happy customers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by NorthernKaren from Two of the poles broke after just 2 uses I only got the chance to use this tent 2 times. The third time I took it camping, 2 of the poles broke apart, making the tent useless..While putting it up, suddenly two of the plastic pole joints just broke and snapped apart, bending the bolts in the process. It cost way too much money to only have it last for 2 camping trips, which were only 3 days each.. There was no way to fold the tent back up to put back in the bag, so it was carted off by state park employees, since there was no way for me to get it back home in the mangled mess it became trying to "fix' it. I had to borrow a tent from someone else for my 5 day camping trip. I contacted coleman and was offered 25% off my next purchase plus free shipping, which is what they are offering EVERYONE that orders from their website. Obviously, they do not stand behind their products. My replacement tent will NOT be a coleman!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by bryan75 from Very disappointed! We've had good luck with Coleman, especially the 4 man and 6 man instant tents. We has the same problem as Not a Happy Camper; 3 poles would not extend. This was the first time we used it. Again, we are very familiar on how to pitch the other Coleman instant tents, so this poor engineering and manufacturing was extremely disappointing. Because 3 poles wouldn't extent, we pitched a unbalanced tent that put pressure on two other poles, bending them out of shape. We had to throw the tent out! What a waste.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bowser from Camping disaster I purchased this tent and the first time I used it one of the poles crimped. We are unable to put the tent away, so it is in a pile in the garage. Looking for replacement parts is not easy, so I will try to figure out on my own how to resolve my problem. I already contacted the company and received no response.

Rated 5 out of 5 by John P from Great Tent I have had this tent for 8 years now and it works great. We have used it probably 20 times for an estimated total of 60 days. I can't say anything negative about it. It goes up easy and is quite roomy. The only downside is I wish that it had a fly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Msch from Pole manufactured wrong, and part discontinued Do not buy this tent! We used it less than ten times and we loved it,but then the roof pole, which was manufacturerd wrong, broke. It was assembled twisted so it eventually got stuck and couldn't be fixed or replaced bc the part was discontinued. Tons of other people have had the same problem. It makes me sick that I can't fix this and have to throw it away.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dave B from "Instant" in name only We used this tent a grand total of 4 times before one of the poles broke. It is actually difficult to set up and extremely cumbersome. I'd recommend a more conventional tent.
