Carlsbad™ 4-Person Dark Room Tent with Screen Room
Sleep in after the sun rises or put the kids to bed early while the sun is still up with a Coleman® Carlsbad™ 4-Person Dome Tent with Screen Room. The Dark Room™ technology on this tent blocks 97.5% of sunlight to keep the tent darker if you want to sleep while the sun is up, and it also reduces how much the tent heats up during the day by up to 9.5%. You can grab a drink and an outdoor chair, and watch nature unfold before your eyes while you relax in the screen room. It's a great way to stay away from bugs while enjoying the great outdoors, and with a full floor you can use it for extra sleeping space on warmer nights. If it rains, the WeatherTec™ system with its patented welded floors and inverted seams will help you stay dry. Awnings over the windows create ventilation without letting in any rain. Illumiline™ reflective guy lines are more visible at night so you don't get tripped up if you need to take a walk in the dark. Setup is simple with snag-free, continuous pole sleeves and the patented pin-and-ring system. Inside, there's enough room to stretch out on two queen-sized airbeds, and storage pockets help to keep small items organized. When it's time to head home, the tent fits into an included carry bag for easy storage and transport.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sand Dune ATV from Perfect for the hot Oklahoma summer. Was exactly what I was looking for. I get hot instantly when the sun hits me in a tent. Looked for something with a little light blocking ability. This was it. Was extremely comfortable to sleep in the mid day. Zero light gets in from the top. Only light that comes in is the bottom pad of the tent which is very little. The screened area is a little smaller than what I expected but loved it as I could sit and chill without insects getting in. I would highly recommend this style tent for summer camping any day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by BigTrnting from Wife hates camping..... So my wife doesn’t like to be woken up early. I bought this tent with the idea that she can sleep in past sunrise and not be woken by the Texas heat or bright sun shine. The two mornings we had used this tent ⛺️ (so far) I slept later than I normally do and my wife loved the darkroom so much she invited me to go camping for our second wedding anniversary!!! Thanks Coleman! I’m so impressed that at night when I’m in my tent no one can see me on the inside! It works both ways! I literally have to open my tent to see if I left my fan/light on. Can’t wait to leave a review on the water heater. ;)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Alexis from great festival tent This tent is great for those summer nights. It does keep a bit darker during the day compared to other tents and the screen room is a plus when the nights are hot and you don't want to zip up the door, the screen room lets a breeze enter the tent while keeping bugs out. The only downfall is that there were 2 small holes on the floor of the tent, they didn't really bug me since I always put a tarp under my tent, but for those that don't and if it rains you might get a little water seepage. I only wish I would of bought the 6 person tent versus the 4 since a 4 day camping festival and all its supplies can take up lots of space in the tent. PS. a queen size air mattress fits great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cardsfan4 from Great tent I bought this tent to downsize. I love the front area and how it keeps the light out in mornings. I have noticed I have been sleeping in longer on camping trips. It have been through 2 rains storms with it and not a single drop of water in the tent. It also stood up very well to 30+ mph winds the other night. It has performed as well as it says. The only down side two it is the rain fly ripped on the 4th time using it. Then I went to put it away and one of the tent poles had cracked. That is what is keeping it from getting 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jtak77 from Happy with purchase Bought this tent for light overnight fishing trips, came out of the box good, fairly easy to set up, seems well constructed, tear down wasn’t bad either. I like the screen room as it fits my fishing gear and other camping items I like to keep dry and safe. It doesn’t seem as dark as advertised, but overall I feel good about the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RkyMntnMama from Sleep in after the sun comes up! We bought this tent a year ago. Even though we've owned it for only a year we have gotten many uses out of this tent. Love the dark room technology as it let's me sleep in like I've never slept in while camping. Suitable for dispersed camping, and holds up to anywhere you'd want to pitch it! Overall this tent has been the best ever, and would recommend it highly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Yeetus Dia from Buy a tarp with it The thing doesn't seem to be waterproof anywhere. In anything more than a drizzle the thing leaks to high heaven. A ten dollar tarp fixed things. Got this tent 2 years ago, so I don't know if this is still a problem. But considering its dropped 120 dollars, I'd say it still is.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ben Camping from 97.5% light blocking claim is very misleading I will start by saying that the design for this tent (I got the 4 person) is pretty good. It took about 15 minutes for 2 people to setup which isn't bad but not that great either, I believe the 6-person version is adverted as fast pitch while the 4 person is conventional. The screen room does a good job of keeping bugs and dirt out of the main tent although only the middle portion has a rain cover, the sides and front will get wet if it rains. Now for the reason I bought the tent, the "DarkRoom" Feature. Coleman advertises on their site that the "he Dark Room™ technology on this tent blocks 97.5% of sunlight." I find this to be extremely misleading. I believe that the darkroom material/coating does block nearly all sunlight however they only made the rain-fly and windows out of that material! The sides of the tent are made form normal tent material that lets in a lot of light. To me this tent is darker than a normal one but only slightly. If I would have known that the tent was not entirely made of the darkroom material I would not have bought it. Recap: It is a decent overall but I would not buy for the Darkroom feature. Coleman, please make a tent entirely out of this material!
