Not just for use on the road, Coleman® thermoelectric coolers are ideal for home, office, and dorm use, too. This adapter is all you need. Simply plug it into an outlet, then plug your cooler’s 12V connection into the adapter. Compatible with any Coleman 12-volt TE and Stirling cooler and model numbers: 5232, 5274, 5640, 5641, 5642, 5644, 5645, 5726, and 6213. Model numbers are located on the cooler bottom.

For my model # 5640 PowerChill I purchased an OEM power supply adaptor.&quot;material #2000026568&quot;. The converter gets very hot. I called &amp; was told it shouldn't. I bought a 2nd. Same. There is a picture of our cooler on the boxes. It works but I'm concerned.
