Rated 1 out of 5 by Joe246 from Not very useful This compass looks like a good usable item. However, with the batteries in place the compass will not function correctly. It will not find north unless the batteries are removed. Guess the batteries generate some sort of magnetic field that disrupts the compass function. Am surprised that Coleman did not catch this lack of function. It is not usable for its intended function as manufactured.
