Lid is NOT insulated
Cooler is ok. What bugs me is Coleman claims the cooler has an insulated lid. I cut holes in the lid to add insulation. Thats how I know that it does not have insulation. I have contacted Coleman about the issue. They told me the lid is insulated... So I guess air is what they are using for insulation these days.

52 quart marine cooler
This Coleman is perfect for what I need, like the light weight and size. I do wish Coleman would up grade this to a Garden Hose drain that wedge plug is unreliable gets bumped and starts to leak without you knowing until you discover water is drained where its unwanted.

Not the strongest hinges. Don't lift by the lid.
works fine, but the hinges seem a little fragile. They were loose on arrival and I snugged them up. Could have stripped them very easily. If your not careful you could inadvertently lift the cooler by the lid and I'm sure the hinges would rip off. There is no hinge strap, AND I'll bet most people use the lid to lift it at times. They can't possibly be durable hinges. Handle with care.

Be careful what you order
I ordered the Series 316 52-Quart Cooler but received the 62-Quart Cooler. It is too big for my needs so I returned it and cancelled the order. It is a nice ;looking cooler just the wrong size.

Coleman marine cooler
I have contacted customer service to complain that 1 of the coolers I bought has a big dent and I was trying to have it replaced but they never replied to my email. Am really very disappointed. I bought 2 and 1 was dented when it was delivered.

My old ugly coleman cooler from 10 years ago keeps my ice frozen for more than 2 days.
