Rated 2 out of 5 by Mayra from Do Not Buy - Returns Are Not Easy The hinges appear to be low quality and the screws holding it appear to go into the cooler without a rivet nut that would hold the screw better. The cap on the side looks cheap and I can tell it'll leak since it doesn't close right. The lid is supposed to hold a 250lb person, this is a lie. The moment my wife sat on the lid it made a loud crunching sound. This means that THE LID IS NOT PROPERLY INSULATED. I think they added the expandable foam and it crushed with the weight making the crunching sound. Also, they DO NOT PROVIDE A RETURN LABEL when they can get better shipping rates compared to your average person.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Riverguard from Lid is NOT insulated Cooler is ok. What bugs me is Coleman claims the cooler has an insulated lid. I cut holes in the lid to add insulation. Thats how I know that it does not have insulation. I have contacted Coleman about the issue. They told me the lid is insulated... So I guess air is what they are using for insulation these days.

The average temp has been -5° since I received my Coleman cooler so I did a little indoor testing to see how the new Coleman compared to my other, very expensive, cooler. I filled two plastic; quart zipper bags with ice and put one in the Coleman and one in cooler "y" where I left them overnight. In the morning the bag in tge Coleman was almost all ice while the bag in cooler "y" was almost all water. You can see the the difference in picture. If it ever gets warm here again, I'll be taking the Coleman camping. I'm shocked there was such a difference. I'd reccomend the Coleman to anyone who needs a great cooler!

We take 20 to 28 coolers every Saturday, 52 weeks a year, with rather expensive frozen meat products. All of our coolers are Coleman marine coolers. and in the last year, we started making the switch to the 52 quart 316 series cooler. They have proven to be extremely rugged, reasonably priced, and most important of all, keep our frozen meats frozen till we get home 10 hours later, even on the hottest of summer days. These coolers have proven themselves to stand up to constant use and rigors of our business. Thanks Coleman.

I do wish Coleman would up grade this to a Garden Hose drain that wedge plug is unreliable gets bumped and starts to leak without you knowing until you discover water is drained where its unwanted.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Shake My Head. . . from Does Not Keep Ice 3 days, barely one. . . I placed ice in it and left it on my shaded, covered porch to see how long it would actually hold ice (before I took it out on my boat for days and trusted it would work as stated). The ice was melted is just a little over a day, in 90 degree days, with 60ish nights. . . It does not appear to have any insulation at all, other than air, as someone else stated.

We packed a few fridge items and drinks in it, and the food held up great - along with ice of course! I should say it held the ice well for the trip and it didn’t automatically thaw out. The handles on the sides are great for easy carrying. My fiance does most of the heavy lifting but to my surprise even with the ice in it, it wasn’t that heavy! It’s a great size but also fits very nicely in the car! 10/10 recommended this cooler!

Am really very disappointed. I bought 2 and 1 was dented when it was delivered.
