But I got this mug yesterday, and not so sure about this lid (love the mug though, keeps cold things cold for a long time).. I feel like there isn't much of an indention in the lid and my nose feels like it's in the way (and I don't have a big nose). Because of that, I've dribbled some water trying to get use to it. I have no problem with the original lids with my nose. My lid also feels like it doesn't screw on so easily. I'm hoping that will get better with time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JonT from Pretty good, except for the rubber stopper I've had this mug for 2+ years now, and it remains a favorite as the body is easy to clean and has a wide mouth to put ice in. It also keeps my drink either hot or cold for a long time without condensation on the outside. Unfortunately, it's pretty hard to clean the rubber stopper and the gasket of the lid so after some time, it started to smell a bit funky and the stopper discolored. I don't drink out of the lid anymore, I just unscrew it and drink directly because of this. I do rinse and dry the lid separately from the body, so I don't understand how this happened. I tried soaking it in hot water with baking soda to no avail, and brushing it has similarly achieved nothing. I still use it though, but it would be great if I could get a replacement stopper and gasket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Radikal Kiteboarding from Byron 20 oz ROCKS! Interestingly enough the temperature in my regular coffee cup would be luke warm within minutes. So much so that I have been seriously researching percolators. After almost giving up on my coffee maker and buying a percolator I poured my first of many morning coffees in to my new contigo and almost burned my throat it was so hot. It stayed hot for as long as it took me to finish my 20 oz of gloriousness! Don't believe these negative reviews. Contigo saved me having to buy an expensive new coffee maker. Contigo you guys ROCK! I love this product so much I will be buying a 24 oz Byron for my Soda stream water. The seal is so good on these that my guess is you can keep carbonated beverages in them not only cold but without losing the fizz.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Janesb from Great for keeping coffee hot, hard to clean I have 4 these, they keep my drink hot from 6 am till 5 pm ( I forgot it at home one day, and it was still warm when I opened it) my only complaint, when you wash the lids,yuck! The little ball that seals it is hard to get off and put on to clean it, and the rubber ring seal broke in a few uses when cleaning. WHERE ARE THE REPLACEMENTS PIECES TO BUY? I want to keep my cups, but need replacement parts or even lids.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ckheman from Content stays hot but not possible to sip! Over all the mug is good and the content stays hot for hours. Anyway I would not recommend the mug as is because when I bought it one of the key features it was advertised for was the special lid that was supposed to provide a regular mug like sipping experience. The opposite is the case. The hot liquid flows directly into your mouth and you get burned. The problem is the convex shape of the edge of the lid where you have to sip. I already contacted contigo but I only got a standard answer mail back. This is now a few years ago. I would love to see an update! Until then I can not recommend this mug.

Rated 2 out of 5 by USCrooster from Close to being perfect I bought the 24oz snapdeal travel mug a few years ago. Unfortunately, it's been leaking since day one. Discovered this on a 2hr road trip. Mug was sitting on the floor and tipped over at some point. When I grabbed it to take a sip, the floor mat was soaked. I later learned that the top will leak even if you shake the mug too much. It leaks around the threads of the top, not the spout; that leads me to believe that the gasket is inadequate. I love this mug b/c coffee stays piping hot for at least three hours, and still hotter than warm 5hrs later! This mug would be better than Yeti if it didn't leak. Unfortunately, I can't even order a replacement gasket or top!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Caitlin from Vermont Winter Tested!! I purchased this mug several years ago simply because it had a sleak design and was the cheapest option of the shelf. To my surprise it functions BEAUTIFULLY! It's all that it is advertised to be. The Snapseal lid allows me to pack this mug in my backpack along with my laptop with the confidence that it will not leak. The insulation is impressive as well. I forgot my mug of hot tea in my car's cupholder during a frigid Vermont winter day, when I returned many hours later my tea was still very warm!! I will be purchasing this brand for my next mug.

The gasket wears out fast and there are no replacement parts! they leak because gaskets wear out, hard to open snap seal with arthritis. The auto seal top is hard to clean and gets gross inside. You can do better! The tumbler part is great but the lids are awful!
