I want to use the 2-gallon stacker cooler for drinking water. Is the plastic in this product safe for that purpose? Are there any harmful chemicals that will leach into the water? Is the interior plastic BPA free?

Hi Raven, Thank you for contacting Coleman, the Outdoor Company. We understand that you want to know whether the plastic in our Coleman&reg; Chiller&trade; 2-Gallon Stacker Water Jug is safe and whether the interior is BPA free. We would like to inform you that none of our water jugs or coolers have ever had BPA or Phthalates in them. Please note, our coolers are intended for recreation purposes and are not specifically designed for commercial applications like a restaurant. All of our items are BPA free. Our jugs are made out of HDPE with some components being PP. We hope we were able to provide you with an answer to your question. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help you.
