Why when plugged into wall outlet the fuse blows out after an hour or so but not when plugged into car cigarette outlet?

We would be delighted to answer your inquiry. As per checking, one of the reason is because you need to use a recommended adapter that you can use once you plug this cooler into wall outlet.
