Rated 5 out of 5 by Stevek301 from Best Camp Stove Ever I'd give more than 5 stars if that was an option. I bought my Powerhouse 414 stove 25 years ago (1991), and I am finally replacing it. It never needed any repairs whatsoever. The fuel tank finally won't hold pressure anymore and it's probably just a gasket or something minor. I can't begin to count how many camping trip this stove was brought on and was surprised to see they still make the exact same model. I'll definitely be buying a new one soon and look forward to another 25 years.

The heat is consist, I like the size of the burners they heat up a large pot or pan quickly. It is fuel efficient. The construction of the stove is good . Good quality metal. Rated 4 out of 5 by ryans from Dependable in all conditions I purchased this stove to replace a 2 burner propane stove. I decided to move away from the propane canisters because I got tired of holding on to mostly empty canisters. I also camp in the cold frequently and have had my propane stove fail to light up a few times. White gas stoves take a bit more work to get started, but are otherwise great. They are reliable in all conditions. It takes some practice to get a nice blue flame. The secondary burner will not be as strong as the primary, which is fine, but you need to prepare for that. My only negative is that the folding lid does not fit tightly in it's hinge. You can slide it back and forth about 1/8"; enough that it can come free of its hinge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ClubMan from Really Easy to Use After experiencing several prolonged power outages (the latest due to hurricane Irma) I decided to stop procrastinating and get a backup cooking system for emergencies. After researching the possibilities, I decided the Powerhouse 414 was the best choice to suit my needs. It's big enough to be a viable substitute for a regular kitchen range and I like the economy and versatility of the stove being dual fuel capable. Prior to buying my Coleman 414, I had absolutely no experience with any type of camp stove so I was a bit concerned about how steep the learning curve would be for it. To my delight, I've found it surprisingly simple to operate, actually little different than using the typical household natural gas stove. Just follow the instructions that are printed on the inside of the stove lid and you will be safe and successful. I've prepared several meals on the stove so far and they have turned out great. I even have used the Camp Oven (Mode 5010) that Coleman sells as an accessory to make cornbread and biscuits and the were done as well as if they had been baked in my wife's kitchen oven. At this point I feel better prepared for whatever comes. I'll keep several gallon cans of Coleman Fuel on hand and be confident that my family will have hot meals available even during a prolonged emergency. But beyond that, I now see other, recreational uses for my stove. I enjoy cooking on it and it'll see plenty of use for it at cookouts and club meetings so it won't just be sitting in the closet waiting for the next disaster. One other thing -- If a two burner dual fuel stove is great, a three burner stove would be even better. I wish Coleman would bring back the three burner Model 428 that they discontinued 7 or 8 years ago. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JorgeH from Great Product, Exceelent Performance USed duirng Hurrican María in PR, due to power outage. Setup is a breeze and performs flawlessly. Only gripe is that the stove exterior is not as solid as the legacy product, but it should anyway outlast me, and handed down then to kids in the future. VERY pleased with the item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brian H from Great stove and a true classic. Stove arrived in excellent condition. Followed instructions on lighting and it worked perfect. After warming up, both burners burned with a blue flame like in your home kitchen. Going to be great for camping as well as home preparedness.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Squam from Good Concept Cheaply Produced As a long term user of Coleman lanterns, I had hoped that the American-made stove would be of high quality. While the product works, it seems as cheaply made as possible. The fuel tank connections are frankly insufficient and potentially dangerous. The stove could be so much better. I would pay 50% more for a 50% better designed and better fabricated stove - one that I could be proud of and could trust to be durable.
