Go for other option for heavy use!
We bought this for a backpacking trip we took and unfortunately it didn’t make it. The handle bent after the first night of using it, which was slightly disappointing. It’s was still usable but made it a little difficult to cut efficiently. I would opt for a pricier one since this one was on the cheaper end and not durable.

Every camper needs a good axe and this Coleman Camp Axe is definitely my choice. The handle is comfortable in my hand and doesn't slip. It's lightweight yet heavy enough to help add power behind my swing. Its definitely super sharp. Great for chopping off branches and making my firestarter pieces.

Not the sharpest ax in the shed
It's true. It's not the sharpest ax in the shed, but I adore it just the same. Efficient for basic camp needs but lacks if you have to cut up a lot of fuel. Sturdy enough to earn it's place in my bug out bag, but take a wet stone to keep it sharp.

Still use till this day for cutting and breaking up firewood for camping. This axe is just the right size for packing in your camper or tent. The grip on the handle makes it very comfortable to cut for hours.

Small compact Hatchett
Wouldn'tsay its an axe but a Hatchett is a great word. Nice and sharp and great for making kindling. I Carry it aroundin myvehicleto ensure my safety in the great outdoors.

Perfect item..
This is a must have for any adult to have and use to cut down some wood for campfire.. my dad always used a machete for wood cutting or really high weeds.

We understand that sharpen it to maximize it&rsquo;s full potential, and we would be delighted to answer your inquiry. You can sharpen the edge with a coarse whetstone. Apply honing oil or sewing machine oil to the extreme edge, then rub the tip of a coarse whetstone along it in a circular motion. Sharpen both sides alternately to move the burr from one side to the other, until it is nearly gone. I hope this information helps, and we&rsquo;re able to answer your question.
