Rated 1 out of 5 by from poorly made, many problems I saved up for over a year in anticipation of purchasing this unit at the Coleman outlet in Pigeon Forge TN (yearly family trip) in October. As soon as we got back home I tried this unit out. The battery would not hold a charge. I had to plug it into a car battery jumper pack to get the unit to power on and hold a charge long enough to test. First thing I noticed is a leak around the shower faucet that I had to use caulking to seal to stop the leak. Regardless, I was able to get the unit to work with the car battery charger to test my caulking patch. Fast forward to this years first camping trip, and sure enough, the battery would not hold a charge. So there I was at camp with a car battery powering this hunk of junk, with my homemade caulking job to keep it from leaking. I purchased a spare 5 gallon carrier and the carrying case with gift cards over the winter. Even the carrying bag is cheap, as the 2 of the zipper grips (rubber) just snapped right off. I am so disappointed in myself for investing so much time, purchase money, and accessory money into this really poorly designed piece of junk

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish Used once at home to test it. Never worked again. I think it has something to do with the battery. It wont charge at all. Going back to pot on campfire. Always reliable!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too expensive to be disposable This water heater is great when is working properly. Unfortunately I have not found a place where it can be serviced nor there are any instructions to properly maintain it. It seems to me there should be more support for a product that is not inexpensive as this one. This is the second one I purchased and I am not happy by having to dispose of it again because I can't find anyone to repair it. After using them for about a year, the heater would not stay lit or it turns itself off. Apparently the water does not flow through the unit correctly and i suspect it is because it needs to be serviced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from unreal people all these people complain about the battery they all seem to miss the point you need to keep the battery charged when not in these little batteries dont of like being flat for any length of time of course they wont hold their change if not chanrged for mouths

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk I agree with all of the reviews that talk about battery problems. Add me to that list. I don’t think I’ve bought a Coleman product since.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is incredible !!! I am completely and utterly amazed at just how useful and amazzing this Coleman hot water on demand H2 Oasis portable water heater is ! I swear we will be using it for camping very soon but meanwhile we already tested it and we absolutely love it more than i can hardly describe !! it is a complete Lifesaver and could even be useful during any type of emergency.I truly believe that owning a device like this is actually necessary and could really make our life easier if one day we may need it in order to survive .It is not even a bulky machine With all that it does which is pretty convenient and helpful!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well for me Once I learned how to use it, this has been an excellent addition to my remote cabin. I have two (one for kitchen, one for shower) and there has yet to be a battery problem, maybe because I always keep it fully charged. Only reason I didn't give five stars: I dropped the pump and it broke so there's only one for my two units and I can't seem to find a replacement anywhere.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A billion times worse than the previous model Same problems as all the others, AND besides not holding a charge, the wand head hose feed tube has a washer fitted to it that is too narrow so water comes gushing out when when hooking it up. Complete waste of money, and effort. Save yourself the frustration and find something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing little machine I love this handy little machine! It is incredibly useful and so easy to use. Hot water is available literally within seconds. You don’t have to sit and wait for it to heat up. I love how it’s so compact because it makes it all that much easier to pack up and use. It has a 3 light status indicator letting you know when it’s time to charge it. The quick connect fittings are a great little addition making it so much easier to attach the hoses. It definitely has upped our camping game and is a definite must have.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Be careful I have not purchased this product yet, but I did have the prior (green) model. Based on the reviews so far, I'm not sure I want to sink another small fortune into something that I can't count on for years. The green model was outstanding for over half a decade until one day it just stopped working. That is my fear with this model and also the reason I'm leery of purchasing it. When they work, they're awesome, but when they don't you now own a boat anchor. These units are also non-user serviceable and most likely not Made In The USA. One minor change should be to allow the user the ability to blow out any water in the lines before it freezes. This is what happened to my green model. I ended up throwing it in the trash because I couldn't work on it and Coleman would not stand behind it. (I called them) With that said, I'm not just a random reviewer looking to give Coleman bad marks. We've been a Coleman Family for nearly 60 years. (at least) One of my stoves is probably older than most of your most Senior Employees so I'm not trying to grind an ax here. I'm just saying build us the Coleman products we all grew up with minus the "planned obsolescence" is all.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great idea, needs improvements We bought this product to use while camping. The 5 gallon water container top was warped so the hose would not screw on tight. It leaked when turned on its side. It wastes water while lighting it. You have to turn on the pump before lighting it so, cold water is being pumped out before you even begin to use it. Their is no way to turn off the water flow while showering after getting wet down. You have to shut the unit down while lathering up, then restart it, wasting more water, to rinse off. We used a bucket large enough to put the shower head and pump into so the water that was flowing out during start up was recirculated. We had the old style of Coleman hot water shower years ago and loved it. The unit was very small. You started the burner first and then turned on the water flow. You could turn the water flow on and off as needed while still keeping the flame going.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed! I bought the Coleman portable water heater, charged it up and took it on my trip to a very remote lake in Ontario, Canada. It would not stay on for more than about 5 seconds. I tried recharging it and it would do the same. I had one of these units years ago and it worked great but this one was a dud and very disappointing as I used a 62 degree lake to shower every night and I packed it all the way in with fuel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible battery makes this useless I had the older Colman water heater for many years, and loved it until it died. I bought this one last year ago, and within a month the battery wouldn't not hold a charge. It got so bad that it now doesn't even run at all. I'm very disappointed to see other reviews complaining about the same thing. Is there not a way to fix this? Can you not provide a new battery for us, one that lasts?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product I received the Coleman Hot Water on Demand H20asis Portable Water heater. It’s great for the outdoors. Whether you are camping, or hosting outdoor gathering. It’s propane powered technology allows the water to get hot within 30 seconds which is extremely quick. It’s great for washing dishes or even your hands/showering when outdoors. It does reach 125°F which is easily adjustable using the dial. The 6ft long hose comes in handy for all hard to reach places. It’s very durable, compact and lightweight. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a portable water heater.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t waste your money Used it once, only got water warm, not hot. Few days later went to use it again and unit keeps shutting off indicating low battery. Battery shows charged. Checked battery with multimeter, 12 volts, tried running unit while plugged in, same thing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from outdoor showering is awesome I have used this item for outdoor showering at our cabin. We hooked it up to a huge water tank and I had a spa shower! nothing like a hot shower after camping for a few days! The only thing I would like is to have a longer hose and a shut off button on the shower head itself but other than that it works good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great way to get hot water while camping!! We tried this portable hot water heater while island camping with friends. This was amazing! It took a few tries before getting comfortable with how it works. You have to make sure to submerge the pump and make sure the heater ignites. It uses a small propane tank which was easy to connect. Once the pump is submerged and turned on, the water temperature can be changed using a dial. It gets really hot, really fast! This was so convenient when cleaning our dishes and taking warm showers. The sprayer sprays nicely and with a steady stream of hot water comfortable enough to shower with. I would definitely recommend this for camping to help give a sense of cleanliness. I was so grateful to have warm water while camping outdoors!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! This thing works like a charm! It's quick and reliable and hot! Used it a lot this camping season, even used it this past weekend with no problems and I couldn't be happier. I read a bunch of the reviews regarding the bad battery, and while I can understand the frustration of buying an item and the battery is shot, batteries don't last forever and I don't think a bad battery is a fair reflection of the product. Not to mention that there is no way to tell how long an item has been sitting on the shelf with the battery in it, or maybe just a bad batch of batteries. Regardless, with the reviews in mind, I picked up an extra battery for this for about $12 and threw it in my HWOD (took 3 minutes) and haven't had a single problem this entire camping season, and I use this thing a lot! I can't see calling an entire product terrible just because of a $13 battery that can easily be replaced. That's like saying your car is a piece of junk because the battery died. Bottom line, love this thing and wouldn't trade it for the world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heats Water very fast, Easy to use This H2Oasis Portable Water Heater works great! It is perfect to take along on a camping trip, and great to keep at home for emergency situations. I live in an area where the threat of a hurricane is a yearly occurance, so just knowing my family will be able to have hot water in the event of power failure is big relief! It works by propane heat which is very convenient, and there is a 5 gal collapsible water jug included. The battery can be charged from your car if needed, so very easy to charge. The water heats up very quick, and the machine is easy to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for traveling This is great for camping or traveling. It is light weight and easy to carry. For the first time use you have to let it charge for at least 6 hours. It comes with the car adapter charger but not a house one. Which isn’t a big deal especially if your already on the go! The water bag was easy to unfold and fill. All of the attachments were easy to plug in/hook up. It did take a little bit to get the pilot light lit but it says the first time will take a little longer to let the gas run through. The water does get very hot I was pleasantly surprised.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trash , Not worth 400$.Dont work a high elevation TRASH. i live in Arizona and camping means driving up north to the higher elevations 7000+ feet where its much cooler. bought this hunk of junk and it worked ok at home. got up to campsite and nothing would not lite or even turn on for that matter. never used it. was pat return period so i was stuck with it. got a 400$ paper weight still sitting in my garage. do yourself a favor a boil a pot of water and pump it into a shower bag with some un heated water buy a 20$ pump off amazon or local store and your golden works 1000% than this garbage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changer As I’ve gotten older the thought of camping with my husband is less appeasing due to many factors but one is the lack of warm showers and clean dishes. When i got this i was skeptical but quickly was surprised and excited when this allowed me to not only wash our dishes but also have some comfort of a warm shower. I did notice that keeping this charging until use was the best key as the life of it isn’t as long as i would have liked. It’s still 100 times better than not having any at all though. I’m a fan and very happy with this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money!!! Bought this and used it maybe 20 times. Works great. But the battery will not hold a charge. Had it charging up all day, and as soon as the water started flowing, the battery died. There is nowhere to buy a replacement here in British Columbia that I can find. And canadian tire has no support for their coleman products whatsoever! Shouldn’t have wasted my money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it We live in a place that loses power all the time for days on end. Our water heater is hooked up to electric so no hot showers. This thing is awesome! It heats up the water nicely so you arent taking an ice bath. You can take a good 10 min shower and fully wash your hair with out running out of water. We just kept refilling it over and over when we wend 3 days without power. Its really small and lightweight when you need to store it when not in use. It fits nicely into the back of your trunk if you want to take it camping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Portable & effective Ever taken a shower while camping only to do it in Hot Water on Demand™ H2Oasis™ Portable Water Heater is very effective and efficient especially for travelling & camping. I love ,has great quality the fact that its rechargeable, and very portable to carry around. It has instructions and if followed correctly, its very easy to utilize. When my husband brought it out from the. You have to adjust it to the right temperature, and thats what we did,and it wasnt long the hot water started flowing. My husband actually set it at 125 temperature. This came handy for us because, there is a construction around our community and the electricity goes off and on all the time due to the power construction. I love this portable water heater and will recommend it to all families

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very convenient I decided to give this a try when I went on my camping trip for the weekend and it was actually very convenient. It didn't take up too much space and worked very quickly and efficiently. This is a great addition did any outdoorsy vacations!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My old 2300 model lasted for years. I had mine for 3 years and it never let me down. You have to figure for a 300 dollar unit it cost me 100 bucks a year. Nothing like a hot shower out on the boat when the lake temperature is in the 60's.
