Rated 4 out of 5 by Kennyfulltime from My Experiences This grill runs hot and has a large cooking surface. As I typically grill five nights per week year 'round as I'm full-time RV-ing in the southwest, it has been an excellent performer. Downside: If left outside and uncovered, it rusts out the "guts" after about a year and a half. Also, because it runs hot- which I like- it gets quite messy on the outside and under the grills. But in spite of this stuff, I haven't found a replacement that will satisfy my needs. Expect to replace the grill every three years, if you use it as I do.

Rated 3 out of 5 by statikblue from nice portability but burners were disappointing Initially, I was excited about making this purchase. Quite portable and relatively compact. However, something not noticeable from the pics and became quite noticeable upon first use were the burners. There are 2 round burners. Basically a Coleman stove with grill plates. Makes for less than ideal grilling. Was rather disappointed. Wish I could have returned it for a more conventional portable grill. As far as durability, the upper part of grill is pretty durable, however the side trays and wheels could use bit of an upgrade

Rated 5 out of 5 by Evan from A classic gas grill that is also great value I got the grill on sale and promo - so I paid a pretty good price for it. Added a stove grate (get it together with your grill order, you'll not regret it). And I used an existing adapter hose for a full-sized propane tank. Here're the pros: 1. - power - It is powerful (have to keep it on Medium setting). Food cooks fast! 2. - cleaning - Grilling on this grill is easy and relatively fast. Cleaning up is not as fast as my George Foreman grill but is probably considered one of the easier grills to clean up with a wire brush (for the Swaptop), some Windex, and lots of paper towels. 3 - weight - The Swaptop grates are high quality cast iron, making this grill heavier than it looks. 4. - quality - My additional Swaptop stove grate is also made of high quality stainless steel. 5. - portability - Big wheels make this convenient to drag along short distances, but the stainless steel handle nearest the wheel is a bit of a problem (see 1. below). 6 - tables - Slide out tables are a great convenience feature. 7 - aesthetics - My grill is finished in an attractive classic red enamel. It looks sleek and modern, even though this grill has been out in the market for quite some years. There are few design flaws though. They are not show stoppers, but still useful to highlight here: 1. - steel handle cannot double as a stand - When folded, and dragged on wheels, the stainless steel handle at the wheel end will scrape the ground if it is pulled too upright. It will not stand up like a roller bag. This is a problem because the folding design was supposed to facilitate compact storage, and not being able to stand upright severely limits this functionality. 2. - the same stainless steel handle will scrape on steps/curb if you are dragging this down from a step/curb. Even if you do this slowly. They really need to move the wheels out a little and change that handle to a dual purpose handle/stand like on your 2-wheeled roller luggage. 3. - don't forget to clean the drip pan - even though this is advertised as a quick tailgate/camping grill that seemed to be able to cook-and-go, you need to remember to pour out and wipe down the drip pan before attempting to fold the grill up and drag in an inclined position - or you will end up with an oily mess! 4. - transporting dirty Swaptops -the Swaptop grates are not secured even when the cover is down and locked. So they will either have to be removed and stored separately when the grill is on the move on its wheels or you're forced to "stuff" some padding material inside the cover to prevent the Swaptops from hitting and scratching the inside of the cover. This is particularly troublesome after cooking and having to deal with oily/dirty Swaptop grill grates when you need to move it before a thorough clean. 5. - regulator storage - the gas regulator has to be removed to prevent accidental damage while on the move. However, there's no good way to store it (odd shaped). Coleman should provide a storage box that either stores it under the lid or clips on its leg/frame. Solution to 4 & 5: Perhaps Coleman can come up with a simple compartmentalized storage box that looks somewhat like a briefcase - that holds the Swaptop grates (esp when dirty), maybe some extra space for optional stove grates, gas regulator, space for camping gas cylinder, a bonus wire brush and grilling tongs, a few grilling skewers and even an LED grill light as an accessories pack?

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Perfect for camping! This grill is great for camping. I bought the full size griddle that swaps in, in place of the standard grill top. Bacon and eggs are a cinch and easy cleanup! I also bought an extender hose that hooks right up to my camp trailer, so instead of using small propane bottles, I can use the large one the trailer uses.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lscarpace from Used for a 2 week RV Camping trip I used this grill a family RV trip and it was “acceptable” but a few comments: 1) I bought the recommended travel bag and it simply doesn’t fit inside 2) the unit is heavy as heck 3) the ability to adjust the temperature while grill is close to zero and I think part of it is because of the variability of the gas and the proximity of the grates to the flame so the ring of flame becomes excessively hot. 4) a thermostat should be installed on this model 5) I ordered a nice bright orange colored one but after two weeks the bright orange is now a burnt orange. 6) cleaning this grill is pretty tough so be patient. Again this is a decent grill just some comments after using it for awhile...

Rated 5 out of 5 by Martin from Good features and quality Bought this grill on sale at camping world to replace a smaller charcoal unit on my MC. Bought on sale to replace small charcoal unit on MC. Great decision! This grill is well made of heavy duty materials (steel, cast iron, etc) so it is surprisingly heavy which makes the wheels on one end so important. On that subject the wheel diameter should be about one inch to one inch and a quarter larger to facilitate moving without dragging the down side handle and this would also allow the unit to stand on end when folded. Twould be a very handy feature! Fires up and burns nicely and predominately even, if you watch your heat settings (don't "crank it up") totally unnecessary. A few things to consider: 1) Carry a large pan or water proof bag to hold the grates after use if you have to move the unit before cleaning. 2) Always remove the grease trap/pan and drain or contain BEFORE FOLDING FOR TRANSPORT! 3) The grates do NOT lock down so when in transit they have a tendency to bang around inside the unit (the pan or bag in item #1 will address this) and prevent a greasy mess! For the price and features the best grill I found! Good to see Coleman is still on the ball with this product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Two warranty issues out of the box!! Purchased the grill 5/22/2018 and picked it up today, 5/23/18. First issue: the right side table wouldn’t pullout. A bent spring was keeping it from sliding out so replacement part was authorized. Second issue: the igniter didn’t work, it didn’t click and no spark at all, new igniter authorized. Both to be shipped and should be received in 7 to 10 business days! Looks like I may have gotten a “lemon!” Works great using a MATCH though.
