Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only been able to use it once but... I have only been able to use this stove one time ( today actually) and it ran great. I was able to adjust the burners as needed, contrary to some of the reviews I have read. Maybe there is an inconsistency in the regulator's? I bought mine at a Coleman store and it was the display model, no boxed stoves were available. It had a couple of scratches but it is in fine working condition. Over all I am pleased and look forward to taking this somewhere my cell phone wont work! P.S. I copied the parts names and their part numbers on the depression in the bottom of the the stove's exterior. May seem ridiculous but given I know I wouldn't keep up with the books, it might come in handy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and easy to use Just gotta share my recent camping stove find – the Coleman one. Seriously, it's like having a mini kitchen in the great outdoors. Set up was a breeze, and I was whipping up meals quicker than you can say "campfire cooking." The flame control? Perfect. Wind decided to join our party, but those wind baffles shut it down like it was nothing. Here's the cool part: it didn't hog fuel. One canister lasted through all our cooking shenanigans. And when it was time to pack up, this thing folds down like magic. Sturdy, reliable, and now a permanent member of my camping crew. If you're into good food while roughing it, this Coleman stove is the real deal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible stove We bought this stove to replace a 25 year old coleman thinking that maybe a newer one would be a little more up to date. I wish we never had bought this one. There is no way to regulate the burner, you either have full on or off. The sound that it makes when you light it is like a burner on a jet. I am really disappointed with this stove. Unfortunately we can not return it as it is past the one year stage. We need a stove for our next camping adventure and we will be not using this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for cooking The Coleman portable propane stove is perfect for camping trips. As a child we used these all the time and now that I'm grown up and take my own kids camping we always use a Coleman propane stove. We like building a campfire as well but who wants to wait for the fire to get that coffee first thing in the morning or if it's too windy sometimes it just quicker to have the little camp stove. They're great because they're portable and they use the little small bottle of propane. You can have dinner ready really quick and don't have to worry about not being able to control the heat. I definitely recommend these if you're a camper or like doing tailgating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest stove I would highly recommend this classic propane stove from Coleman to anyone, it’s super useful in many situations in life, not only camping would be fun also to have it while experiencing the weather disasters, when electric is not available, this stove can work from the small propane tank as well from the large too, but you need to purchase extra fittings, many breakfasts and lunches we cooked while been on the go with kids camping. The stove is light and super easy to set up and work, two burners are enough for not such complicated meal preparation, trusted and well known brand that stand for the quality, continue to use when needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Coleman I recently purchased the Coleman Classic Propane Stove, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance. This stove has proven to be incredibly reliable and efficient during my camping trips. It heats up quickly and provides consistent heat, making cooking in the great outdoors a breeze. The two burners are powerful enough to handle multiple dishes at once, and the adjustable knobs allow for precise temperature control. I also appreciate how easy it is to set up and pack away, which is perfect for when I’m on the go. Overall, the Coleman Classic Propane Stove is a must-have for any camping enthusiast looking for a dependable and convenient cooking solution.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Burner dials are extremely difficult to set It's impossible to set the burner dials on anything except extremely high heat or off. You can't set them to any type of simmer, or even medium heating. Very frustrating!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good Bought the stove last fall used maybe 8 times now lights and goes out. I assume the regulator is bad already, pretty sad no more Coleman products for me I will fix my old white fuel stove and use that. It’s a shame that a 40 year old stove still works and a new one dosnt.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Quality Control I bought this stove online from Walmart and was very disappointed that it had a bent burner. The right burner is bent upwards and close to the cooking grill. The reason it's bent is a large divot in the bottom of the stove that had to come from the manufacturing process. Others on the Walmart site have reported the same problem as well as customer service when we called them. We've had coleman products that have lasted 20 years and never let us down in an emergency. This really hurts since we chose coleman because we trusted it. We're gonna return it and buy one in store but I'm not leaving the parking lot without checking the stoves quality. Also, the hinges bend really easy so be gentle with the lid, we didn't know this and had to gently bend it back in place to lock the lid down.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gets the job done This stove works well as long as the weather is decent. We have used this stove many times during our camping trips. I like that there are small propane tanks to use, so less to pack. We typically camp for 2-3 days and a tank will last us most if not all of the trip. The footprint of this stove doesn’t take up much room, but if you only have one table, you will lose some of that space. If it’s windy, the stove doesn’t work that well, although I wouldn’t expect it to. But even with the walls on the side, the wind swoops right in making it close to impossible to use. Overall, it’s decent and I like that it’s compact.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not light After previously testing the stove with a fresh bottle of propane and having no problems with either burner, I tried using the stove on a trip and could not get it to light. I checked all connections, and tried several bottles of propane, and could not fix the issue. I noticed that gas was being supplied to the burner, but would not ignite even when exposed to a constant flame. Given the reputation for reliability of Coleman stoves, I was extremely disappointed that it didn’t work, and had to resort to cooking and boiling water over an open fire. Maybe other models are better, but I’m a bit hesitant to buy Coleman again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seriously recommend, it's very durable. This is an awesome stove. We use this quite often actually. We have had ours for a few years now and I would honestly like to buy another. It folds up nicely to fit in our car trunk with all of our other camping gear. It's sides keep the wind from blowing it completely out but as with any other stove you have to watch carefully. The best thing about this for me is the small propane tanks that it uses actually last a long time. Now that does depend on how high and how long you use it at a time. You can make full meals with this little thing. I am a very big fan and I highly recommend this. By the way, I have actually used this while at home instead of our big grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit for an independent Queen I purchased this the stove because I absolutely love cooking outside and not only that this stove is very compact... The stove delivered on every aspect the heating and temperature control is unmatched

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy and compact stove I brought this Coleman propane stove camping with me and it held up wonderfully. The wind guards were easy to insert into place and performed well. They protected the flames from wind and elements. I appreciate that the stove has minimal parts which makes cleaning easy. You don’t have to navigate any nooks and crannies. I was able to easily fit 2 10-inch pans at one time. The box in fact advertises that you can do one 12in and 10in at a time. That will come in handy when cooking for more people. One thing to note is that this model does not come with an ignition button. You must have a long match or lighter to hold up to the burners in order to get the flame started.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and affordable The Coleman Classic Propane Burner is a solid choice for outdoor cooking, especially for campers and outdoor enthusiasts. It features two adjustable burners, which makes it powerful enough for most camp meals. The wind-blocking panels are useful in maintaining consistent heat in windy conditions, and the simple ignition system is easy to use. The stove is also lightweight and compact, making it convenient for transportation. However, the burner spacing can be a bit tight for larger pans, and heat control might require some adjustment. Overall, it's a reliable, budget-friendly option for basic outdoor cooking needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! My family has been using Coleman camping gear for 50 years. Growing up my dad had a Coleman camp stove that worked great. I bought this to take on my first camping trip in 30 years. I am a cook by trade and of course assumed cooking duties. This stove performed above all expectations. I cooked on it every night we camped.. 6 nights. I also heated water every night for dishes. I had no problem with obtaining a low heat setting at all. It is easy to use. No assembly required and sets up in seconds. This is a good investment for anyone who goes camping, hunting or fishing. It could also be used in a natural disaster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very useful When we had no power for 24 hours, it was just the thing to cook breakfast. And we will use it camping in the summer. My old one did not do very well and it has been with me 50 years in Alaska and now in SC.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Full Blast or Nothing At All I've had my 2 burner stove for a few years now and find myself avoiding using it because it burns everything. Except water - it's great with water. The inability to set the flame low to properly fry eggs or pancakes makes this product a hard pass for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Propane and propane accessories I decided to travel the country for a year living in a vehicle, and this camper stove was so light and manageable. I was really able to follow the brown science and enjoy the scenic route. It was a pleasure and privilege. I highly recommend this camper stove I even was able to use it safely to stay warm one time. during that year. It was extremely easy to source, small propane canisters, as well as keep it clean. I am not a large woman. It was very easy for me to carry it down to riverbanks and enjoy the day, and overall that year of my life was extremely well from my mental health. I highly recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flame Adjustment Not Good This Coleman Classic Propane Stove seems to operate at two flame levels: high and higher. It isn't easy to set and keep a low flame on this camp stove.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cheaper made than the older Coleman Stove I had. It did not take long to break the slim aluminum regulator arm. The best stove Coleman made, was the Electric Ignition two burner stove. That one had a stronger and flexible connection to the regulator. I can only recommend the Electric Ignition model number: 5435A700, it lasted for 30+ years and finally broke down recently. I’m trying to find another, but am afraid they don’t make it any more. Coleman, hopefully you have not gone Chinese like many others. Not interested in trying to fined a lighter every time I want to start this stove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Generational Product I didn’t actually buy this grill, but inherited it from my grandfather. We would take this little grill camping with us when I was a kid & it’s a centerpiece in beautiful memories with him. This little grill is so durable. It may not look as shiny as it did when it was new, but it still works just as well. If it ever does decide to fail, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one to replace it, as the quality of this product is built to last. The fuel is easy to replace & lasts a while. The grill itself heats up quickly & evenly for me, which is perfect for quick cooking on a cast iron or for making coffee with my Moka pot. I would highly recommend this brand and this product to others!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dependable every time! This brand is great for all things camping. Unfortunately, though I absolutely love camping I don’t get to go much. I’m really hoping that changes asap. I have a blast when I go. Every time I do go, COLEMAN is always the common brand for most things we bring. The propane stoves that we use, are always made by Coleman. Not once, have I been camping with a or products from this brand and something goes wrong with it. A brand you can count on! 💯 Dependable brands are the best. I highly recommend this brand, not only for the stove but really all and any camping products!!! ⛺️ 🏕️ Enjoy :).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Proud Owner Coleman stoves are known for their unwavering dependability, making them the perfect companion for cooking up a storm in a pot. The size of their burners ensures even heat distribution, resulting in deliciously cooked meals. What sets them apart is their ability to withstand gusty winds, making outdoor cooking a breeze. However, it's worth noting that these stoves can be a tad weighty and utilize liquid fuel, which may lead to a bit of messiness, particularly when your fingers are chilled in the early morning. They are great for the warmth and it cooking abilities. I have owned one for years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Classic design that doesn't seem to perform I have been using liquid-gas stoves for a long time, and I prefer them to propane as I don't have to dispose of canisters, they work in sub-zero weather, and my lantern is liquid fuel as well. However, I feel these don't last. My original stove from the mid 80's made it 30 years. I finally retired it, but the new stoves don't hold up. They burn well new out of the box, but a few short trips in, I get consistent dirty yellow flames, and a yellow flame that licks out of the generator when on low simmer mode. I've cleaned it and done all the recommended service, but no luck on anything that sticks. I've returned thenm several times, but the same thing continues to happen with a replacement stove.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from the Classic propane Stove temp control is weak I have used this for 4 summers and I like its size and wait. Also it does OK when used except for the heat controls (dials). They both only have a 1/2 to 1/4 turn for regulating the burners. This doesn't make the unit unusable but very temperamental and very difficult to regulate.
Date published: 2020-05-19
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it, only 1 negative thing to say! I have used this product more than a few times.. when the power went out, camping, or in any other situation where I didn't have a stove top or bbq and wanted to cook, like the shop. It is ideal for bbq if you don't mind propane style cooking and it makes a great burner for boiling water or Mac and cheese. I will have to deduct a star though. Every one of these that I have owned or someone I know had owned always without fail eventually have a bad ignition button. It's a pretty simple fix but it is a little annoying. A bad ignition switch doesn't stop you from using it though.. just grab a long neck lighter and turn the gas and light at the burner. Overall, great product and would recommend it to all.
