Rated 5 out of 5 by Old Packer from Very dry and sturdy in storms Exceeded my expectations, even for Coleman products. I've used this tent three times now and it's the sturdiest, driest, and quietest tent in a 40 mph thunderstorm that I've ever used in 60 years of camping and backpacking. Highly recommended as a 1 person tent if you are over 6'2", as I am. But I did shelter a 12 year old grandson during one storm and it was okay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hummingbird from Lots of headroom Motorcycle camping is what I bought this tent for. Set it up very easily in my yard for trial. It gives me the top headroom I needed in order to dress without getting cramps in my legs which my previous three tents did. This tent has plenty of space inside for myself to move around in and keep all my things without it being cramped in like the one person tents I'm discarding. Yes, it takes eleven stakes, but that isn't much when moto camping. I would suggest to anyone buying this tent to take some electrical tape to tape together the joints of each section of joints of the poles "BEFORE" inserting them. Putting the poles into the sleeve is no problem. Taking the poles out, and it is long, is where problem arises as they will come apart in the sleeve. Having them taped together eliminates this and removing one wrap of tape is simple. We're it not for this issue of the poles, I would give this tent a five star.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gootsch from Affordable, dry and easy to both set up and pack. This was my third Coleman tent in about 25 years. They last me about 12 years and then they announce that it is time for a new one. This one is a nice dry basic tent. It goes up easily, stays dry easily as long as you do your part, it packs away easily and is not to heavy. I would not call it a back packing tent but a car camping tent instead. Yes, I would buy another one and I have encouraged two of my friends to buy to buy two of them. I also have a Coleman 3 season tent which I use in cool and colder weather when this one is not the correct tent to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KCKC from Lightweight, Waterproof Really liked that it was light & easier to carry than our old tent, but there were a couple things we didn’t like... It took both of us to put it up since there is only one pole down the middle, the vestibule was to small & you got wet getting into the tent. The rain fly is necessary for privacy because there is only mesh on tent otherwise, there are only a couple Poorly possitioned loops inside we saw no pockets. I wish it was a barrier color rather than orange. On the bright side there was a small area on either side of our full size air mattress & just room enuf for our Pomeranian to have his bed, my backpack & my husbands suit case at the bottom of the bed. Any smaller would have been a catastrophe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by johnG from Ready for any weather I've had my Hooligan 2 for 8 years now. I camp out an average of 30 -40 nights a year. This tent just laughs at bad weather. I've been through some wild downpours and windy thunderstorms and have never had an issue. I came back to the site because I'm looking for a second one to replace my old leaky backup tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Colorado Camper from Great tent! I camp in the Rockies and I wanted a tent with a rainfly that went all the way to the bottom of the tent to keep the rain out, this answered the call. I also camp at Lake McConaughy where there is sometimes strong wind and blowing sand and the rainfly keeps the sand out. There is only one thick pole that supports the tent and I thought they were crazy but it is a really great design and stands up to the wind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Utar_303 from Nice little tent!!! I recently bought this tent to upgrade from a small A frame tent. I needed something for backpacking, that I could sit up in, and have a bit more room. Being 6’ 3”, this tent had the height I needed, and the room. Plus, the built in netting was the best thing. The mosquitoes were horrible when I set it up, but after spending the night, all of them were outside, leaving me bug free!! It’s a bit heavy for hiking, but I’m pretty much a pack mule, so it doesn’t bother me. Good pick up for me!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dusty-Dave from Perfect for motorcycle camping I'm a little confused that this is called a backpack tent seems awfully heavy for backpacking. But it is a very good tent for motorcycle or even a car. It's well made and easy up and down. The bike doesn't notice the few extra pounds.
