Just a Great Lantern
I've been reading reviews concerning this lantern and I believe the negative reviews on this lantern are confused. This lantern works on 8 D Alkaline batteries not a rechargable battery pack as some of the others have. My lantern is the best battery LED lantern I ever seen or used. It right up there comparable to the gas lantern. I believe it's the best lantern you
can buy. Coleman, you hit a grand slam with this one.

Great for power outages
I have had two of these lanterns for over 5 years that I use as lamps next to my bed. I use them every night and replace batteries every 3 or 4 months. When I have had power outages, these lanterns worked great... you can purchase brighter lanterns, but for the price, these are great...

Coleman LED lantern
It is reliable, efficient (long lasting battery power with D cells that are short lived with incandescent bulbs), and safer than either liquid or propane fuel. The dimmer is brilliant, allowing batteries much longer life. We use it as emergency light during power outages or for occasional camping.

Not Happy
I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this lamp. Whilst the lamp works well if and when battery is charged, yet again ( 2nd time) after a very short time after last camping trip I have gone to use again and battery indicates fully charged (ie green light) but will not light up. I am yet to experience the quality and reliability I had come to expect from Coleman. This is the second battery I have purchased

Love the look & the feel.
Looks like a traditional lantern. Super easy to hang, very stabe on surfaces. Exceptional brightness and battery life. Looks and functions like a real lantern. Perfect companion at the campsite along with all my Powerhouse®️ Gas Lanterns!
