Replacement parts
This has been a good lantern, don't use it often but is great when needed! We bought it in 2011 and also purchased the rechargeable battery. This time of getting it out we found the rechargeable battery to be dead and won't recharge. When placing the 4D battery pack in, the one tab broke off. I'm looking to replace either the tab on the battery casing or the whole casing. Can you help?

Great gift for a Boy Scout
I keep two of these handy for power outages. Bought this one for my neighbor’s son. He’s 10 and a Boy Scout. As usual, I had a hard time twisting off the bottom to insert the batteries.

Has lasted for 20 years
I bought a pink version of this lamp for my 5 year old daughter her first year of girl scout camp. She is 25 years old now. I just used the lamp last night to look outside for my glasses, because it is faster and better than any "flashlight app". A true keeper!

Not only is this a life saver on our short camping trip for an emergency light. We also use this to see inside our pantry at the house. This lantern is a great when you have it at your finger tips!

GREAT FOR THE MONEY
My dad was a hunter and i always went with him on week-ends and his camping equipment was always COLEMAN,he swear by them and i love the amount of light the latern puts out ..

Affordable and Durable
Bought it 10 years ago for power outages. Batteries last forever and brightens up an entire room. Great product for the price. My batteries are easy to change and bottom twists off easily.

Hi Nancy ann, Thank you for contacting Coleman, the Outdoor Company. We understand you want to know how to open the battery pack on your Coleman&reg; 4D LED Camp Lantern. We'd like to let you know that you only need to turn off the lantern, flip it upside down, and press two release tabs to remove the 4D battery pack. To open the 4D battery pack top cover, use the snap feature. If you are unable to locate the snap feature, we will need to double-check your lantern.
