Description
Have cordless, hands-free light anywhere with the Coleman® CPX® 6 Easy Hanging 400L LED Lantern. Quickly hang this 360° light from a basement beam or campsite tree. The adjustable, hook-and-loop handle allows you to control which way the lantern shines its 400 lumens of light. CPX® system compatibility lets you choose your power: four D-cell batteries or one CPX® 6 rechargeable power cartridge. With a runtime of up to 55 hours on high and 135 hours on low, the sun will come up long before you need fresh batteries. The durable lantern has a molded rubber base and shatter-resistant polycarbonate lens. The reduced-glare LED lasts a lifetime, so it never needs to be replaced, and it runs cool so it's always safe to touch, even when it's been on for hours.

worked well for just months
This worked very well for a few months of intimitent use then the sealed battery would no longer charge. Tried a new charger but it turned out to be the battery pack. a replacement battery pack almost the cost of a new unit - the second disappointing Coleman lantern so I think we are done with the brand. This is my first bad review of anyting

Affordable, Durable, but Not Repairable
Provided good service for occasional use for several years...Kept it in the car for emergencies & occasional use, brought in the house during power outages. Recently the LED bulb flashed & quit working. New bulbs do NOT seem to be available, and there does not appear to be any way to open the case for replacement anyway.

Disgruntled Customer
Ordered 3 of same lantern and 1 was easily able to install batteries, 1 came with no battery pack compartment, 1 was not able to open battery compartment to install batteries. Contacted Coleman for replacements & RA to return defective products & so far I am still unsuccessful in resolving this issue.

Don't buy this junk
I have one of these LED battery powered lanterns and it really never produced a decent light. It is a battery hog as well. I went to turn it on today and it would not light. Changed the D cell batteries out and it still won't light. Looks like there is no way to replace the bulb so it looks like I might as well send this junk to the land fill. I only used this light very sparingly so the hours on this item was very low. I have been buying Coleman products my whole life and Never have had issues like this Shame on you Coleman for selling this junk.

Coleman Battery Issues
This lantern was for when my power goes out. I need a new 6V power pack; rechargeable or battery. The CPX battery cartridge is already obsolete and no longer in stock at Coleman. You really should sell the power packs if you're still selling the lantern! Time to ditch Coleman branded products.

Scouts have been ushing these for years
We bought many different lanterns to see what would work best for us. These were the best for us because we have an endless supply of "d" batteries. the battery packs dont take well to drops, but the lanterns have been wonderful. especially for no flame in tent! and around the campsite

No Replacement Battery Pack Cartridges Available
This lantern is great. I liked them enough I have 5 of them. The problem is, if the hinge on the lid on the battery pack cartridge breaks (plastic) you are screwed. I have two that have done this and unable to replace the cartridge so, the $45 light is now worthless. I did not buy this off the Coleman site, one came from Amazon and the others from a box store. Find a different lantern to buy.

Great lantern
Unbelievably bright, great for when you don't want the heat or combustion from a fuel fired lantern. This light strikes a good balance between brightness and battery life.
