I have woods behind my house I use it every day to take my dog out so that I can see if he comes in contact with any Critters that he shouldn't be in contact with. It has adjustable settings from high to low lower you will get a hundred hours of light hi you will get 3 hours of light from it. It also comes with a lithium ion battery and a USB charging cord. Best of all it's made by a name I trust Coleman. Would recommend this to anyone.

Being that we recently moved, all flashlights and emergency candles were still boxed. It was still in the box BUTTT it had a charge. We used it to go through boxes and find the candles and flashlights. It was easy to use. Just twist the middle of the lid and you can choose how bright you need it. Only thing I would have needed was for it to use regular batteries

My only regret is not having this sooner. I love this thing so much! The size may be a litter smaller than what you think of when you picture a standard lantern (pics attached), but I love that because it’s not clunky or heavy...perfect as a handheld or tabletop. While I plan to use it around the house in case of emergencies, I could see this lantern having plenty of applications like camping, hanging out in the backyard, the beach, working in the garage, attic...really, the possibilities are endless. My favorite thing about this lantern is the top/lid. First of all, it twists and clicks which corresponds in that it controls the intensity/brightness of the lamp in the lantern itself...pretty cool! The other point is that the top also serves as a charging doc for either Apple or droids and includes a red charger cord! How cool is that!?! So helpful, again, in case of emergencies. I could not be happier with this lantern and I may even get another one. I would recommend this to anyone and definitely see getting a huge value out of this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Crysaracry from Great well made lantern I received the Coleman onesource 600L rechargeable lantern a few weeks ago. According to box its one source, one system, power anywhere. In the box is the onesource lantern, the onesource rechargeable li-ion battery and a charging cord. Accourding to box the battery can be used in other onesource products. The charging cord hooks into any USB source. The charger cord is relatively short. I wish the charging cord was a little longer. The charge time varies by the USB source that you are using. It varies from 2 hours to charge on a 2.4 amp output to 5 hours when charging from a 1 amp output. You can buy an quick dock charger sold separately according to box that will charge within 2 hours. I found the charging time to be around 2 hours for me using a 2.4 amp output. You are able to charge your devices when the lantern is on. The battery will also charge devices when not in lantern also. The battery has two openings on top. One is for charging the battery and other is for charging devices. They are both easy to open tabs. There is a button to press on top. There are three blue lights that tell you how much battery power is left. And if you hold button down there is a small led flashlight that will come on. You hold the button down again to turn off led flashlight. The battery is very easy to use. The battery will only go in the lantern one way. Then your turn to match dots to lock battery in lantern. The one thing i did not like is the battery top is small and hard to turn when loading or unloading. The run times according to box are 3 hours on high and 100 hours on low. The lantern is very well made. The plastic is very strong and thick. It almost feels like glass. The lantern has a heavy feel to it. The handle is very strong. It has some softer plastic on top for comfort and grip. Its very easy to use. Just turn the lantern on top to desired brightness. You can unscrew the bottom of lantern if anything gets inside lantern to clean. The bottom is also has a mirror on it. I feel this lantern will last a long time with careful use.

The removable battery doubles as a flashlight while you are on your way back to plug it into the base.The one source battery is really neat because it fits into a number of their other products, including fans, pumps for air mattresses and Bluetooth radios. the lantern base has a dial that you can dial the light intensity up to 600 lumens, which is a nice diffused light for a room. I have no trouble reading by it. the top of the battery has a nice blue 3 light indicator to show the level of charge left. it also has USB out so you can charge your phone or other USB chargeable device. It is very lightweight and compact, which is great for camping and emergency situations. the carrying handle can be hooked to a carabiner for hauling up mountains, or attaching to backpacks.

The lantern is rechargeable which is great because I can take it with me wherever I go since it can also be recharged in the car. And the fact that the Lit-Ion battery can be used to charge my phone or tablet also is awesome. I have been using my lantern for when I walk my dog at night, also will be using it in the house when we get those occasional power outages. I like that the lantern is a perfect size, not too big or small. It has a dial that lets you choose how low or high you prefer or need the light to be. The lantern can last from 3 hours when on high or up to 100 hours when on low. And let me not forget that on the top of the battery it also has a flashlight and a battery level indicator. I definitely recommend the OneSource 600 Lumens LED Lantern & Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery. A 50 lumen will last around 100 hrs. on low, and is plenty for a power outage. Safe enough for a child to use too. It is rechargeable with a usb. You can also charge your personal devices with this , and while the lantern is on too. Well made and multi use.

It has different settings so also decides on how long the light will last. It is 600 lumens which is bright enough when the lights go out or to go outside. There is a monitor on top to let you know how much charge is left.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Earlyshirl from Great lantern This is a great lantern, with some really good features. I love the size and the quality, it’s not to big but feels really sturdy. There is nothing on it to get caught or hooked upon anything. It has 6 levels of brightness which is really useful when camping, being able to dim the light once your eyes accustom to the darkness is less blinding, this is done by turning a dial on the lamp which is super easy. It’s rechargeable so you don’t have to carry batteries, as it can be recharged in the car or from a good quality phone battery backup using a USB. I also like it acts as a phone battery back up in its own right, this could be really useful in an emergency. The one downside I found is, that even with really small fingers, turning the flash light on was pretty difficult. The button is way too small. However with that being said, I would recommend this to my outdoorsy friends as a really useful thing to pack, either camping or for in the car incase of emergency.

I'll be taking this camping here soon for sure. I think it is a bit too heavy for backpacking but for general camping it should be fine.

I found out that it had so many more uses and was one of the best purchases I have made this year. The lantern itself is fairly small and lightweight making it easy to pack and carry around. It has a nicely located dial for adjusting the amount of light. It is a warm white light that produces exceptional brightness for its size. As a lantern I would give it superior marks, but the real thing that impressed me was the removable rechargeable battery pack. The pack slots in to the top of the lantern, and can be recharged using a USB-C port located on the top. The battery also however can serve as a portable power bank as it has a USB output located on the top as well. This is very useful for charging a phone or small devices. It also has a indicator light that shows you the level of charge and a small LED flashlight which produces an impressive amount of light. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this lantern and will be taking it with me on all my camping trips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by poohlover79 from Handy to have This Coleman OneSource LED Lantern is so handy to have, there are so many ways to put it to good use, for example such as camping, during a power outage or like we have been using it by taking it along on our nightly walk with the dogs around the neighborhood. It has six levels of brightness, even on the lower setting it illuminates very brightly, which allows us to see where we are walking and others to see us. It is easy to carry with the attached handle, not heavy or bulky. It comes with the onesource interchangeable rechargeable battery and USB cord. Full charge takes upwards to two hours, has great run time even on the brightest setting with approximately three hours and about one hundred when using the lowest. This lantern has a great feature should the need arise of being able to charge portable electronic devices such as a cell phone or tablet by plugging into the top of the battery using the USB cord. There is also a battery level blue indicator light located on top. This lantern is a quality made product and very durable as it has been dropped a couple of times and has not hindered its performance in any way.
