Rated 5 out of 5 by BWAD from Withstood PA weather torture test!!!!! I purchased this tent for camping with my family. We have had it set up in our back yard now for a week. We just had a nasty storm go through with torrential down pour and high wind. The tent did partially collapse from the wind pushing on the flexible poles and one stake pulled out of the ground. I went out as soon as the wind died down and pulled up on the collapsed pole and it sprung right back into place and shape. After the storm I found a little water in the corners and maybe a 1/4 cup of water that came in through the ground vent while the tent was collapsed. Overall it did GREAT!!! no rips that I have found so far and still standing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by sadtentowner from Quality comes at a price - Cheap Poles I was excited to set up my new tent in my backyard and was pretty bummed out to find that I had a broken rain fly pole right out of the package. I still wanted to set up the tent so I splinted the pole. After set up the second rain fly pole broke within 30 minutes. Overall the tent seems decent with easy setup and a good size. But the sacrificed on quality to produce an inexpesive product. Buyer beware. I would not recommend this to anyone looking for a tent that will last more than a couple of trips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Matt123 from Broken rain fly poles Like most people my rainfly poles broke after 2 uses. This fix may work for you. The poles are about 1 inch too long. I fixed the broken poles by punching the broken tip out of the metal sleeve with a small screwdriver. Then you can break these small 1 inch sections of fiberglass off of the elastic string with a hammer or I used a flat wire cutter to split mine off. Worked great after that. Now they are the proper length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lydia from Seamless Floor We used this a couple of nights at an event and I was pleased that the floor is a solid piece tarp with no seams through it. It held up well to light-medium mud, and kept the rain off us. I do recommend setting it up once at home before taking it out. We ended up having to pitch it at 11:00 at night and it was a lot harder than it would have been if we knew what we were doing. Now that we've set it up once, I would say this is a VERY easy tent to set up, provided you read the directions and do it in order. It came down like a peach and folded up nicely into the provided bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by QCantu from Affordable, Good Tent Material, Very Spacious At 17X10, obviously, this is a LARGE tent. My wife, I and the dog like to have room to move around when camping. This tent provides that room. The tent wall material feels more substantial than your generic nylon tent. This is our 2nd modified dome tent so set up is pretty intuitive. Had it up in 20mins on first use. Door zipper was tight initially but after the material settled in it slid with no problem. One of the small poles for the tent fly awning snapped in two after set up. All Coleman warranty could provide was a generic pole replacement kit. Wrong size poles were shipped. Sent 9.5mm poles, needed 7mm to make a replacement. Purchased a 7mm kit from another vendor to make a replacement pole. Looking forward to camping with the tent again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Romy03 from Great tent My husband and I set up our new Red Canyon tent in our backyard yesterday. Although I am an agile 56 yr. old lady, I could not set it up by myself. I love the tent size, especilly the height and the tub floor. The tents' stability appears strong with the crossing poles design. The rainfly is more than adequate with small awnings over the door and back window. Last night, it rained without a drop of water inside and we have not water proofed it yet. So far, we are very pleased. It is a lot of tent for under $90. at Amazon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brittany from Waterproof, sound, and sturdy! We received this tent as a Christmas gift. We love it! Our family of 4 fits in here just right. We have a queen sized raised air mattress, plus 2 twin size floor air mattresses. We still have room for the bags and other items without anything touching the sides of the tent. The first time we set it up in our yard, we made sure to leave it up through a storm that came through. It poured on this tent and the water just beaded right off of it (obviously the rainfly was on, too). Checked it out afterwards and not a drop inside. We did a week long camping trip to door county and there was another few rounds of rainstorms that came through, one night it was a crazy amount of rain and still nothing wet in the tent! I think one of the great features that allows it to be so waterproof is that the tarp-like material comes up about 6-8 inches all the way around the base of the tent. The only drawback or con that we found - and maybe this is completely normal with new tents, but the set-up of this tent is pretty snug. We've tried it both ways, giving it slack, and making it taught, and it still was snug when setting it up. So much so, that the door can be a little hard to open, so just be careful with the zipper and watch your seams if that is the case. Otherwise, enjoy a nice dry bed and floor with this great tent!
