Rated 3 out of 5 by ryans from Not bad, but not great I bought this percolator to replace a stainless steel french press because the french press was a pain to clean without running water. This percolator is easy to clean but the quality is not quite what I'd hoped for from a $50 coffee maker. The percolator cup lid does not fit tightly, so when the coffee grounds swell up with water, they can push the percolator cup lid off, allowing lots of grounds to get into the coffee. I also wished the kettle lid fit more tightly. If you store the percolator on its side, the whole thing will fall apart if it gets bumped. It does make pretty good coffee. Like all stovetop percolators, they take some finesse and practice to make a good cup of coffee quickly without over-boiling the coffee.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Dr. Scoutmaster from Makes good coffee Makes good coffee, however, the glass knob was broke before I brewed my first cup. I had to replace it which was a pain dealing with customer service because of hold times. I went ahead and ordered 3 more glass knobs just to keep around for the next one that breaks. Also the handle gets very hot so you need a leather glove just to poor your coffee.

Rated 4 out of 5 by fran from Good pot, fair internals, poor glass knob Pot is good quality and the insides are a bit flimsy but the glass knobs fracture without reason. This happened twice to both of two pots and then the replacement knobs, even though I was careful not to over tighten them. Glass knobs seem to break from heat as if molded at a low temperature.

Rated 2 out of 5 by unhappy fran from Fragile and Ineffective I purchased this pot through Amazon. About 2 months after purchase, the glass knob just disintegrated around the edges. So, I went to Coleman's website to order more knobs only to discover that other customers have had the same problem. Not only that, but according to one customer the knob is no longer available, which makes my coffee pot less than useless. I spent $35 for nothing and now I have to search for another coffee pot, hopefully of higher quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 1merjd from Relatively Expensive and Not Coleman Quality We paid almost $50 for this coffee pot, and it makes good coffee. The downsides are: 1. The basket and lid do not fit well together, so we often get an excessive amount of grounds in the coffee; 2. If not placed exactly properly over the flame, the handle will get extremely hot; 3. And this is the biggest, most frustrating issue- as noted in the other reviews, the glass knob on the top, despite being very thick glass, breaks very easily - not great for outdoor equipment, and not in keeping with Coleman’s previous standards; 4. THE GLASS KNOB IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AND SEEMS NO LONGER TO BE MANUFACTURED!! I suppose that’s one way to save money on the free replacement knobs Coleman promises. I suppose it’s unwise to distribute extra knobs which add extra glass to the coffee, but seriously, Coleman, when do you take back your name and start making rugged, quality outdoor products again?

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dianne from glass knob broke as well Makes good coffee but almost impossible to keep grounds out. Glass knob broke and now it's useless to me. It seems that is a very common problem. Pot is very heavy when filled with coffee. Before the knob broke I chose to use my older lighter weight one for smaller brews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jakesdad from Makes great coffee The best part of a good camping day is putting coffee on and starting a fire first thing in the morning. This percolator is sturdy and easy to maintain. My wife bought it for me 8 years ago for Christmas and I still love it.
