Rated 5 out of 5 by Lake Lovr from excellent canopy I own 2 of these and they are fantastic! The fabric reflects heat so you don't bake under it in direct sun. I live on a lake and use it on my dock. Tie it to the poles with the legs at lowest setting so the wind doesn't jack the legs around. This is not intended to be left up all summer in all weather. The sun will rot this if left up for extended periods just like it will rot any fabric, and this is thin fabric so do the math! Works great in rain also.Only had one tear up and it was left on my dock in a bad wind/rain storm and as expected it broke all to heck. Use common sense, these are TEMPORARY shelters. I take mine down after each weekend.

This is the third time I have put it up and discovered that all of the hardware parts have stress crack or completely broken. The tent has been taken down properly and stored properly with nothing being stacked on top of it. I am sure from reading other review about this product that I am out of luck getting replacment parts. Real bummer of a company that has been a standard for camping equipment for many, many years.I certainly hope that some Colemen company rep read this and responds with some help. Look at the pics closely to see stress cracks and broken strut brackets.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MNWILLIAMS from Please make replacement canopy! I’ve owned this canopy for three years and use it on weekends for soccer and volleyball tournaments. The frame is still in great condition and I’m just starting to notice small holes in the canopy. Why should I have to throw away a perfectly good frame when all I need is a replacement canopy. COME ON COLEMAN, help reduce what ends up in a landfill and sell a replacement canopy for this product! This is the lightest 13x13 popup on the market, every time I put it up people ask me where I purchased it. I will no longer recommend this product because how can I stand behind a product that promotes wastefulness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NortIllinois from Great Sun Protection We purchased our canopy at Costco three years ago and have been very happy with it. The only reason I am writing a review is that some of the other reviews gave the product a low rating because the user was expecting too much out of the product. This is not a permanent shelter and is not intended to be left up year-round. I can put it up and take down by myself in 10 minutes but it is easier with two people. When the canopy is properly secured to the frame it stands up well in rain and wind. It handles wind gusts of 25-30mph with no problems. I've left it up during a couple of storms and just dropped it down to it's lowest height when we went inside the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MOOSE from Great when used for it's intended purpose. Lot's of poor reviews by people who use it as a permanent Sun shade, which is not what this is. I have had my Sun shade for four years and it is still in great shape. We have used it as a temporary canopy for our kid's sporting events and have zero complaints. It has been through rain storms and 110 degree heat and is still in great shape. If you follow the directions it will last for years. If you are looking for a permanent shelter you need to spend the money for a permanent shelter instead of trying to buy something cheaper and then blame the product for not living up to your expectations.

Rated 1 out of 5 by KP in Utah from Cross-bracing broke at screw I had previously bought another Coleman canopy which had a broken red button. The store had sold out all similar Coleman shelters. When I called Coleman about the broken button, Coleman send me a replacement, which is the current shelter. I had only used it 1 time prior to last July 26, 2019. We used it on the 26th, then took in down and packed it in its cover. When we opened it the next day (7/27/19) to set it up, one of the cross braces was broken, as shown in the photos. It happened as we packed it up the previous day or as we unpacked it and set it up. Coleman found the issue was not covered by the terms of the Limited Warranty/Lifetime Guarantee and refused to replace the canopy.

It’s been used maybe 12 days and now it sits in the corner collecting dust because you can’t get replacement parts for it. The metal arms and plastic connectors have all snapped and the canopy no longer stays up. In this day and age of environmental conscious why are you manufacturing such throw away products. Please build these things sturdier and have replacement parts available. It’s ridiculous that Coleman isn’t more about conserving the environment since the majority of their products involve the enjoyment of being outside. We will burry ourselves in our waste

Thought it was going to be great because it’s a 13x13 and a Coleman and our old canopy was just a cheap 10x10 that we got at Sears. I’ve always heard about the quality of Coleman products so I assumed it would last a long time. We had the canopy setup on our porch for shade from the California sun. My husband and I went on vacation for our anniversary in the beginning of September 2020 and it was windy while we were gone and the canopy completely shredded into pieces. Our cheap canopy lasted through the wind but the Coleman didn’t which was very disappointing and surprising.
