I really needed something nice and sturdy because I live in an area that gets very strong winds. The tent went up very easily and it stood against some good gusts without any weights. With weights I'm sure it would be able to withstand even more. The construction is very solid. That does make it a bit heavy, but the case had wheels. So it's not that bad. The material comes separate from the frame. I thought this model had it already attached. It was simple enough to put on, though and now I just fold it with the canopy attached. I know that decreases the lifespan, but I don't want to put the canopy on every time I use it.

I have had it for at least 4 years and it has been stored in the garage when not used. The structure is sturdy but the canopy has shrunk over time and has now begun to rip. It is easy to put up for a pop up. I have looked for a replacement for the canopy material and have not yet found one. I also have another coleman canopy and it needs a new canopy top but it cannot be replaced for some reason. I hate that you have to throw the perfectly good metal part in to a landfill and are not able to reuse it once the canopy top rips or gets bad. Unfortunately every company seems these day to only want to make money and are not worried about the impact they have on the environment. I had thought better of Coleman.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ccddmd from Brittle Fabric We purchased this as a shade structure for our backyard which gets a lot of direct sun. The frame is a pretty good design and it's fairly easy to set up. The canopy fabric became weathered and fragile within about three months. It split easily when gently pushed from the underside in order to remove some leaves that had fallen on it. This was taped to prevent further tearing. It was taken down and split again in a different section of the fabric when it was being positioned to be set up again. If this canopy was made with better fabric it could actually be a good product. I have a Coleman tent trailer that used Sunbrella. Something like that would be ideal. The current fabric is junk.

Rated 1 out of 5 by philster from Poorly designed and executed connectors While the rest of the canopy seems durable, the truss connectors are terrible. The plastic breaks quickly, rendering the canopy useless. If not for someone crafting metal replacements this would have had to be discarded (after only 4-5 uses). While I'm grateful that someone else is selling a solid replacement for Coleman's poorly thought out design, I do resent that I have to pay almost $40 to restore this to functionality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by susiem from Poor Cover I actually received this unit as a free replacement for a defective (discontinued) canopy I had purchased from Coleman. Like the first one, the canopy cover didn't even last a summer. The frame was great but like many other reviewers have noted, the tops just shred and there's no replacement covers. My multiple email requests for resolution went unanswered. I would not recommend Coleman canopies to anyone. As a longtime Coleman customer I was really disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Curtis from No place to stuff the canopy We used this for the first time today on the beach. We were very pleased with set-up and construction. The thing that was very disappointing is there is no stuff sack for the canopy and fitting it in the tight carry case was impossible. I ended up ripping the corner of the carry case and having to really stretch the zipper to the point I was worried it was going to break. There is a plastic bag that the canopy was packed in but that will not last and try folding it just so that it will fit. This is a very bad design and packing the canopy in the open is impossible. If I had not used it for the first time on the beach I would return it immediately. Now I will need to find a stuff sack and carry the canopy separate from the frame. What a hassle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hoppahgirl from Money Saver!! I can't thank coleman company enough for how much this canopy and the extra sun wall helps tremendously!!! In the summer my back patio gets so much sun and without this amazing canopy! The sun would be beaming right through my back sliding glass door! And I would bs running my AC unit & fans so much more! I actually see the difference in my bills when having the canopy!! I will say that these kindve products are more for your summer adventures and not everyday a year around use! I love this canopy and it's definitely worth it in the end because how much it saves on my bills and keeping my house much cooler !! It's a win win!!
