Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible top cover quality. I got the Screened Canopy last Summer (July 2020). Used for about 3 weeks in my backyard. Put it away then put it up again two weeks ago (Nov 9 2021). After two days, we see three huge tears on the canopy top. We got good shade in our backyard. The canopy has never been under any rainy day. It was just a little windy the night before we discovered the tears. I still have a cheap Ozark canopy bought on sale from Walmart years ago. The Walmart one is smaller and much lighter so we brought with us on many, many camping trips (many of them are Winter camping, where we got Snow and Rain); it’s still in a good condition. We paid about four times more for this Coleman so it’s a huge disappointed. We don’t really know for sure what we’re going to do with the canopy now. Throw it away or repair it?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very handy to put up but not very durable Very handy to put up but not very durable , put this up in our yard for a party and left it up for the summer and used it a lot. But by the end of August the canopy had disintegrated. Frame is good but the material does not hold up very well and I thought the customer service was terrible .The person told me that they were not designed to be left up all summer just pulled up and take them back down for an outing. I was quite disappointed and don’t want to buy another: product

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Frame But.... The Frame is the best ,sturdiest I've found even in heavy winds but the fabric is terrible! It only lasts for one summer which is why I have 3 frames now! Coleman only sells replacement tops not the screens so in order to get the screen again I have been buying the whole thing over and over because it's hard to find replacement screens in this size and shape. If you only care about shade and replacing the top approx $55 from Coleman every year then this is definitely for you. The frame is the best. Not sure if it's because it does have the 2 extra legs (total of 6) or if it's the thickness coleman has.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for Heavy Use I winter in Florida and put this up and after 1st year there were weak points in the fabric that had to be patched. The top was never touched so the sun did all the damage. If you plan on using alot this is not the unit to buy. The frame is sturdy and well built but the canopy just will not hold up to continuous sun. Second year there are tears developing from continued weakening of fabric and there are not replacement canopies available.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Screenhouse But not made to last. I had this screen house for two summer seasons before it was destroyed by the sun and then the wind. The first summer was great. Just maybe a couple small holes in the screen. I stored it for the winter and the put it up for the second summer. The top of the canopy did not last the entire second summer. It eventually was worn out by the sun (faded and weakened). The entire canopy was torn apart on a normal windy day. If you need it for one summer, then it is a great screen-house. But it is not made to last longer than that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great structure, canopy only lasts 1 season Agree with other reviewers here. Overall great product and the frame is very sturdy. Problem is the canopy. Only lasts about 1 season due to sun exposure, and easily rips and tears. Coleman, if you're listening, we love your product, but please design a more sturdy and durable canopy!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from love it but replacement parts are not available My wife purchased this for my Canadian fishing trips to make mosquitoes tolerable. I love this screenhouse but very much dislike that replacement parts are not available. I have portaged coleman stoves and lanterns for over 30 years and they are exceptional. This screen house does not stand up to Coleman Standards for support. I have also contacted Coleman and the first question is if it was purchased within the 1 year warranty period. When I said not, conversation ended. If you purchase this be happy with it until something goes wrong. Expect to purchase a second screenhouse for your parts supply.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No replacement Parts Support!!! Unhappy about not being able to get a replacement screen panel assembly. My landscaper mowed over a portion of the entrance on one side shredding the zipper and both panels of the door. Since the screen is one continuous unit that attaches separately we just need that. Chat session tells me no available support to replace the screening. Why no parts support Coleman?? We (or you) should be able to get replacement items . Will see how this canopy holds up otherwise. It's only been up a few weeks and we are using it by the pool daily.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks nice, does not wear well Purchased in July 2017 and used off and on for 3 months. Went to put up this year and the top had small slits that then ripped. Bought through Walmart with a "supposedly" 2 yr warranty which was basically 1 yr of manufacturer and 1 yr of Walmart. Misleading. I called Walmart first and they referred me to Coleman with a Canadian number (didn't seem to have the 800 U.S. number). After a long call it turns out the sun's rays can damage the roof and suppose to put up and take down, put up and take down to protect it from the weather. WOW, protecting an outside screenhouse from the weather! Anyway, in the end Coleman offered a 35% discount and I have to pay shipping. Not much of a concession as I can get as good a deal or better online. Plus, it is back ordered until at least the middle or end of June. So much for Memorial Day use. The product is inferior to what I expect for a brand I thought I could trust and the ease of buying and guaranteeing through Walmart is nonexistent. Not again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Top canopy deteriorating after a week in the sun. I only used this for a week in the sun and the canopy started to disintegrate overnight. Every day it gets worse.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Affordable but not durable The roof of this screen house is very thin . It came with a small hole in it . I was not worried , but later that hole continued to rip . I only had it for 3 month it was in the shade, but seemed to dry rot anyways.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top canopy lasted 2 years, but CAN be replaced To correct some other reviews, Coleman DOES sell replacement canopies for ~$54 (& free shipping). Two summers outside made the top brittle and rip, but only the canopy was damaged so very worth replacing.
Date published: 2018-05-05
Rated 2 out of 5 by from More for the landfills? Same message as other bad reviews. Canopy is not durable, and now I have a useless metal structure I don’t want to throw into the landfill. What to do? It was great for one summer, but that’s it. I think Coleman needs to make more durable replacement canopies, because this is a product that will not last any worthwhile amount of time, and is contributing to the trash polluting our planet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from good frame ,bad top only put it up one time .pu This is a good looking , but very poor top meterail , tears very easy. The replacement is more than the new price.NOT A GOOD PURCHASE///???

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not durable! I bought this screenhouse through Amazon. The structure is sturdy but the canopy top is brittle and has torn in several places after about 2 months of use. I can not find a replacement! What use is the frame without a top??? Very frustrated and disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good structure but the top is used after 1 season I don't understand why the compagny doesn't want to upgrade the top of the canopy because the structure is very good but after one season, the tissues of the roof tears and is unusable and a lot of people in our RV park use this canoy and the problem is the same

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SO DISAPPOINTED The frame is good, the screens good but if you want it for more than one season DO NOT PURCHASE THIS. I just carefully removed the top and found two tears. I couldn’t believe it, I was so methodical and slow in removing but no - I have had more trouble tearing paper. I thought Coleman was a name I could depend on but I guess standards have changed

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Holes & Rips in roof I used this for 3 months & the roof is full of holes & rips. Coleman’s customer service says it’s not under warranty cause it was setup for more than 2 weeks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use The 12' hexagonal was easy to set up. You should have two people to expand the frame but one could do it with some difficulty. The cover goes on fairly easily and fits well. The cover at least should be taken off if you're not using the screen house as wind could easily catch it and cause damage. I cannot stress enough the importance of not leaving the cover on for long periods. The fabric is lightweight and is obviously not designed for constant long term exposure to the elements. We secured the frame to our 12' hexagonal deck and it has performed well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is a big no, no My screenhouse has only been up 3 months. The canvas is falling apart. It is pulling and splitting and has 2 cuts so it rains inside. It is in an area that receives very little sun. Even bought a product care plan. What a joke!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love ours, but sounds like quality of new ones bad We've had our since 2015 and love it! Take it camping on several trips each summer. Protects us from the bugs and kept us dry during many rain storms. After 4 years we developed 2 small leaks, so I coated with a spray on UV/waterproofing product. Worked great! Was logging in to buy another as it's getting worn after 7 years. Based on all the reviews showing issues with the newer canopy material, I've changed my mind. Coleman, would it be possible to switch to another manufacturer who makes better canopies that are durable like the old ones? If you can fix this, I'd by another in a heartbeat!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice screenhouse but not lasting Used it for two short NewEngland summers.. fabric top come,Evelyn disintegrated by the end of the second season. Couldn’t take it down with out it completely but ripping apart from handling it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from CANOPY TOP NOT DURABLE I am from Canada and bought mine at Canadian Tire, this item not listed on Coleman Canada website. Love the screen house, bought first one 3 years ago. Used two summers, put up in June and took down in October. Roof did not last complete second season, UV rays put stress cracks in it and eventually it tore all apart, not even at seams. I live in Newfoundland and we do not see that much sun or hot temperatures. Otherwise product is sturdy and was impressed with it and did not mind if only lasted two short summers. Bought another one this year and roof did not last 3 months. Our summer did not arrive until July and come September roof was shred apart due to stress cracks. When I called COLEMAN they told me screen house was not intended for long uses, meant to be put up and taken down all the time. Like I said before, did not mind getting almost two summers out of first one but not to even get 1 full season out of second one is just not right. and they will not do anything about it. They know they have a problem if there are canopy top replacements that can be purchased.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hard to open I decided to break down and buy this product due to our last camping trip since Mother Nature wasn’t on our side. So as soon as I got home from a 3 day trip that was raining the whole time I figured I would purchase one. As soon as I opened the box I asked my son to help me put it up. I used every single muscle in my body to get it raised. It probably took me 25 minutes minimum and that was without putting the screen on. I have not tried opening it again since I haven’t went camping again. I am very disappointed with this product since I have never bought a Coleman product that did not live up to its name. Unfortunately I would not recommend buying this product and I wish I wouldn’t have spent $ 200 on it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective design Completely failed within the first mild storm. There is a design flaw that allows water to pool on the top, no matter how well you attach the sides. This weight of the water causes the metal to break and bend. I love Coleman products but this was a horrible purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Top dry rotted We used this canopy over a picnic table. We have only used it for about three months and when we went to take it down the canopy just fell about because it had dry rotted from the sun even through it says it is uv protected. Will not buy Coleman tents any more.
