Rated 5 out of 5 by Rcansawgal from Quick and EASY! This Coleman 8 person tent is pretty dang AWESOME. I have owned several tents in my life time, and this tent by far is the easiest to put up. Poles are already attached, therefore saving you a lot of work. We loved the floor to ceiling windows! Great airflow in warmer weather! I was able to put this tent up completely by myself, and I’m female and 51. Absolutely the only issue I had with this tent is the first time I took it down to pack up. I wish there had been better packing instructions. As I wasn’t exactly sure how to fold for repacking. I knew how to take down, just unsure about folding so I could place back into the included tent bag. I even got on YouTube to see if I could find a video of someone taking down and packing the tent. I found several videos of the tent being put up, just no videos of this particular tent being taken down and packed up. I finally found one, of a different similar Coleman tent being taken down and it helped me figure out exactly how I should Proceed. I actually love this tent, it’s big enough to easily have an inflatable queen size bed in it and still have plenty of additional room. (See pics). Also love the fact that I can put up and take down entirely by myself, so on the occasions that my husband can’t go with us. Once I actually figured out how to take down and fold it, it very easily went into the included tent bag, loved the wide mouth on the bag, the bag is designed to easily accommodate the tent. No issues with bag being to small and tent being hard to put into. It was very easy, and the straps on the bag cinch down for a great fit. Bag also has handles so one person can carry like a duffle bag or to smaller handles on each end, where two people can carry it. I would definitely recommend this tent!!! On another note, don’t expect tent to go up in a minute or two the first time you assemble it. The 2nd time, yes, I believe you can get it up in under 5 minutes, especially if you have a 2nd person helping you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Caybaby85 from Affordable and Durable This was for a family camping trip and was Exactly what we needed. We are a family of 6 and had plenty of room. My favorite things about it are the room divider, all the screened in windows, and all the pockets all over to store your things in. It did take us longer to get assembled as one of our release buttons wasn't installed correctly, but after getting a screwdriver and figuring out the problem we got it fixed. The material is very durable and I have high expectations of this lasting for several years. It was very easy to disassemble and get back in the carrying bag. That only took us about 5 minutes max. We did set it up before our destination to make sure we knew what to do and that everything worked correctly. Besides the one mishap with that button, everything worked great. I have always had good experiences with all of our Coleman products.

Rated 3 out of 5 by New camper from Defective parts Set up the tent to find out one of the poles was backwards. My husband unscrewed it and was able to put it on the right way, but then we found another defect. One of the feet of the poles has a broken plastic component which makes us unable to stake it. We will request a replacement part. The tent is spacious and nice- just frustrating to have poor initial product quality

We put it up and placed it in our backyard for the kids to have a backyard camp out...They absolutely loved it. There was room for my six-year-old to stand up without hitting his head. We were actually able to place an air mattress inside. It was a super fun experience. We loved the ease of set up. It was literally up within minutes. There’s also a super convenient screened in portion that allows for division between the sleeping quarters. Also there is a weather tech feature / design that helps keep you dry in the event of inclement weather. This is by far one of the best tents I have ever owned. We cannot wait until our next backyard camping adventure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tinkerfell4you from Quick setup This tent says it sets up in 1 minute, maybe with 4 adults it could be. It is a lot faster and easier than a traditional tent though. I set it up by myself in 8 minutes and my 2 kids did it in 5, much faster than our older Coleman tent. The instructions could be a little bit more detailed, you have to make sure the poles are fully extended outward and the orange button is up. Once set up it's perfect for our family of 5. There is enough room for all of us to sleep and our duffel bags.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sjp7 from Never thought I could set up a tent! The Skylodge 8 person tent is fantastic. The color coding and sleeves make it so anyone can set it up quickly. You get the tent up fast and you can get back to enjoying your camping trip. The inside is huge and comfortable for 8 people for sure. The room divider let’s you separate your sleeping area from the rest of your stuff which is nice. And the screened walls can let the fresh air while keeping bugs out. This tent is going give us a comfy place to sleep outside for years to come - and considering we have young kids i am sure it’ll make a fun basement debut as well!

Rated 1 out of 5 by idgetct from Not a good tent Bought this last year for my family of 5. It NEVER sets up right. I have been an avid camper my whole life, but we can never get the bottom flat. Found out this weekend that it leaks, despite being used twice. We all had soggy sleeping roles and damp clothes. Also, the poles get twisted very easily and it seems completely dependent on the rain fly to remain standing. Had my last Coleman 6 person for 20 years, and i am already looking to replace this one.

When you set it up first time it took us around 10 min, it has manual how to set up , but it is pretty simple and intuitive. First time we tried on our backyard, my kids were very excited to play there. And we are happy to go for our next camping with this amazing tent . What I like about this tent : -it has big wide doors in case you need to put some gears inside -lots of windows that can be open for ventilation -the size to the ceiling is pretty high, so the tall person can stand without bumping the head -lots of pockets and pouches to store your staff -protecting awning in case of rain -very convenient pre-attached poles to set up very quickly , and very easy to put it back -it has large bag to store the tent -there is a divider to make 2 rooms -it has zipper cuff covers -water resistant The only one thing about this tent , one of our pre-attached poles I think wasn’t working correctly we couldn’t adjust it back with the size of other poles. But anyway it fitted into the bag after . This tent might fit up to 8 people but for my opinion it would be very tight .It depends if it would be adults or kids. If the family with kids then it will be fine . For my family of 4 , this is the perfect size , it has space for everyone and is not tight . But if more then 4 adults I think it is not very convenient. We have one queen air bed and one single size airbed that perfectly fits this tent . Very happy with the quality, size and they way how easy can be set up without any issues.
