Rated 1 out of 5 by from Zipper busted on 2nd use We purchased this tent at the end of last season and used it for one 2 day trip last year. We recently set it up for the 2nd time and the bottom zipper busted. Over the 2 day trip, the entire zipper came apart. We ended up having to throw it away. Compete waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the money! Weathered the storms. I've had my first Coleman Instant 4 person tent since 2016 and use it constantly. And I mean CONSTANTLY I am camping at minimum once a month typically every other weekend. The tent is actually still in perfect conditioned and very well seasoned at this point. The only point of failure has been the small plastic bits at the bottom of the tent rods with connect the tent rod to the loop used to hammer steaks into the ground. They include holes which make you think you should put the steak through it but DONT. I highly recommend only using the canvas loops to slam the steaks through. I believe the only reason this part broke on me is because I hammed my steaks through these holes in below freezing weather. I e-mailed Coleman support about this issue and they were extremely quick to reply with a very quality outcome. I sincerely appreciate this kind of support which has driven me to leave a review on a product I've been using monthly for 6 years now. It's not always about the product but a large part about the support and company that backs their products. I will continue to purchase many many coleman products because they get the job done and the few occasions they don't they an amazing support network to resolve any issue you're having.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worst tent ever. i bought the 6-person version of this tent. the tent arrived with missing metal pieces to hold the poles in place. horrible. had to use sticks to hold up tent. materials are low quality, floor is too big for the overall size of the tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Durable Tent I am a single elder female and have had this tent for 5 years, have set it up 26 times at the end of very tiring days. It has been set up in 100 degree weather, taken down in freezing weather, gone through rain and wind, and has never failed in any way .The tough floor material does not need a tarp under it, really does not need a fly, the zippers are great and never give me grief. Easy and quick to set up and take down and always fits into the bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful setup and durable thus far! We were up in the Colorado Mountains and got a pretty crazy rain and wind storm! The tent held up great! There was a little condensation on the bottom corners, but the wind was crazy so it was expected. We purchased seem sealer so will be using that, but otherwise easy to setup and we want to get another one! Also, extremely warm in those cooler Colorado nights. Only gave it a 4 star because of the little bit of condensation!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE this tent I now need a tent I can stand up in and this one is excellent. I camp alone but this way I can put a cot, a chair, my porta potty etc in it and all is great. The set up couldnt be easier altho I havent mastered folding it up for the bag yet. However, bring a tap to use as a rainfly because light rain is fine but heavy rains do leak in. I attached a tarp over it and that took care of that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great tent, easy setup, no storage bag??? My son received this tent as a gift as he asked for a tent for Christmas for backyard sleepovers with friends. It's a great tent and he can easily set it up quickly. My issue is that it didn't come with a storage bag. So it's just this big pile of tent sitting around in a mess. Don't all tents come with a storage bag? I would give this tent 5 stars if it came with a bag to store the tent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TAKES A BEATING!!!! Let me preface this by saying I am an assistant scout master with troop 50 in Wetumpka, Al. and we camp A LOT! We have been using these tents for almost 5 years. As some of you know Scouts can break anything, well, these tents have stood up well, the are easy to set up, and every one that we purchased is still in operation! If that's not saying something I don't know what is.

Hopefully not a sign of things to come bc I love me some Coleman but the quality of the materials used in this tent just dont keep the water out. The only positive things about this tent is the fact that it's very easy to put up. Too bad you can only use it when it's guaranteed to not rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome tent I use this tent a lot when I go camping and fishing. It’s a breeze to setup and take down. It’s also really good if you’re camping any time of the year. The windows let in plenty of cool air in the summer. I’ve found that in the colder weather it holds heat in better than other tents I’ve had especially if you have a portable heater in it.

Bought the 4 person instant cabin tent in June 2020 for my teenage daughter so she could setup and takedown by herself quickly when we go camping or when she goes out with youth groups etc. After the first time setting up in backyard my younger child stumbled and fell into the tent causing the one side to collapse which resulted in a tear in the fabric, which I don’t think a brand new tent should do. Contacted Coleman for warranty and was told that they no longer have this type of tent in stock and would like to replace it with something similar which is great by the way. However I made it very clear that I only want an instant setup type tent as a replacement both over the phone and through email, otherwise I have two tents laying around and have no use for a third if it’s not an instant setup type. They agreed on sending me the 5 person instant dome tent as a replacement ( I have this conversation saved in email) but the tent that was received was most certainly not an instant setup tent and when I checked it out at the local Canadian tire store was selling for $150 less then the original tent I bought. Greatly disappointed! Why does Coleman claim to stand behind their products if that’s the kind of customer service they offer?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 40 mph wind and a deluge later! We Endured a 10 in per hour thunderstorm, with winds gusts up 40 mph. This tent held up spectacularly! Properly secured it did not move at all, we stayed dry and comfortable after 4 hrs of storms. Great job on this tent Colman it sets up literally in a minute! Thank you for not making our 10 th anniversary a soggy one!

I've tried several times to reach Coleman an they give you pages of crap to fill out an wait. No one ever answers the phone. Completely disappointed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tent. I got this tent at a great price by ordering from Amazon in the US (I'm in Canada). It literally sets up in 60 seconds as they claim. I've used it in very windy, rainy, snowy, conditions and have almost zero complaints. It's well made, all the seams are taped, and I feel like it will last. I also bought the rain fly which at first glace you might think does not cover enough of the tent. But because the seams are sealed the tent itself is also part of the rain protection system. If I had to fix one thing it would be that there are no loops for pegs in the middle of the sidewalls, they droop ever so slightly so you can get a little dampness from rain or condensation if your gear is touching the walls. But this is common to most tents. It can be a bit cumbersome to pack up only because of the way it's designed but that is the trade off for instant set up. The bag it comes with is big enough to just kind of stuff it in and has an expansion gusset on the bottom and straps to help cinch/zip it up. Very well thought out product and recommended. 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best tent for those folks that are novice campers This is the second 4man instant tent; that I have purchased. I have the other style as well; blue and white...I am a 43 year old scout mom. This tent is perfect. It goes up in nothing flat; lots of times we arrive to a camp out in the dark,...especially, in the winter. It is a real blessing to have shelter, in a few minutes. I don't even try to put it back in the bag. I bought a rolling barrel from Lowes; and I collapse this baby down and put it in the cart and roll it to the truck and it packs away so nicely this way! Rolling cart holds all of the tent goodies: ground cover, rain fly, stake bag, mini broom and pan, lantern and mallet. It holds up great in the weather; it rained on me all weekend once - not a drop inside the tent...other than the boys coming in and out ;o)! I normally use this for just myself - I love the space! We also have a Hooligan 3; this was okay for cubscouts - but, I needed to get off of the ground...I am getting too old to crawl inside a tent! The 4Man Instant makes it so much easier to change clothes! This is well worth the extra dollars and extra weight. I won't tent camp in anything else!
