very difficult to put up
it was good once it was finally up and it was good to sleep in. I liked the sheltered doorway. but it was a real pain to put up.

Durable, Affordable & Parts Availability
This is similar to the one that we had, but our grandchildren have it for there family now. My family’s tent was a much older style so l really can’t give good review of the tents of today. I can only go by what I know about the company & quality of their products. In our family we Coleman products that have through 3 generations so far & still working fine without any repairs.The style of our tent was divided into 3 rooms, middle & each end. We had a lot of Coleman products. My husband passed, but I still drive long distances to site see & I still have our Hot/Cold plug-in Cooler with me all the time. It was the first or second one that came out way back & that’s when the tent was bought along with 2 stoves, 4 sleeping bags, 2 lanterns, catalytic heater. Most all went to the grandkids except sleeping bags(they wore out). Everyone is getting use out of them
now in Colorado where they live.

Need to replace the tent poles
The fiberglass tent poles broke very easily during the 3rd use. They are much more fragile than poles for lightweight and small backpacking tents which is all I have known before. Please, Coleman support, can you make it easy to order replacement poles for this exact Montana tent?

Affordable and easy setup
The only reason for three stars is you have to use at least three rain fly tie down ropes for young scouts it will not be feasible for them. If you could redesign it for no rain fly tie downs then I will give five stars.

Excellent Tent!
We bought this tent in the midst of a camping trip because our previous tent suddenly gave out. This tent is our family’s favorite of the several we have owned over the years. It is easy to set up and take down, and is roomy and durable. The perfect tent for us!

Nice roomy tent for week long camping for 1 person. Love, the front Awning Cover. I bought this to replace my Coleman 8 person tent that I have been using for 10 years. This is equal quality, minus hinged door.

Leaked after second use
This is my second Coleman tent. I loved my first one but wanted to go with a bigger size. Purchased this tent three years ago. Used it twice the first year. Then last year I took it out and it completely failed me during a rainstorm. The flyleaf leaked, water was coming in through the sides, I had a puddle growing on the floor. Thankfully I was camping close to home, because I ended up abandoning camp and returned the following morning to clean everything up. This was very disappointing.

Wouldn't buy again.
Thoroughly disappointed in this tent. Setup was complicated and as stated in other reviews, it is too tight with the door being impossible for children to operate. The zippers will rip here sooner than later. Of all the Coleman products I own, this is the first regrettable purchase I've made. Lesson learned to setup a new tent upon receipt versus months later in the field. I would have returned this one during the warranty period if so.

Puddles of water needs larger rain fly
Puddles of water formed in tent while camping in Yellowstone. We had all the lines tied and tightened, but seemed like it came from any rain that got on the side of the tent because the rain fly only covers the top. The bottom was very waterproof, enough to hold the water inside until we dumped it! Coleman needs to learn that rain can fall diagonally and make a larger rain fly.

Great tent
I have one that I have had for past 8-10 years and take it to camping spots all over the Mountain west. Roomy and functional - better than my past tents. One thing that drove it to me is center height where I can stand up rather than stooping while getting out of bed. Mine is red but otherwise same.

Great family tent.
Very durable. Been having it for years. Was accommodating for the wife and I and the kids now we have grandchildren and enjoy it as well. Coleman makes great products from generators, lanterns,tents, sleeping bags, coolers, camp stoves, chairs you name it we’ve bought it and everything still works great.
Thanks Coleman for our outings so wonderful.

Montana 6 Person - Good quality tent for the price
The tent is a good quality tent. The tent is easy to set up which is nice when we roll into a campground after dark, has lots of ventilation and protection from wet weather. It is priced very reasonable. I use it for Boy Scout campouts and family camping. Like the roomy inside height.

Held up to a big wind
Room to spare for 2 people, a queen air mattress, backpacks & gear. Stood up to the Great Plains wind (using all stakes, guylines, and velcro fly/pole attachments)! Downside, there's only 2 small interior gear pockets, neither near the door.

Bought this for camping with the Boy Scouts. Works very well in most weather conditions, as in Spring, and Fall it can get cold in Minnesota, but also Hot in the summer, vented well, and keeps the rain out.

There were no real instruction for this. Just a list of parts and a finished product. The tent itself is easy to pitch, the rainfly took about 3 times as long to put up.
