Rated 5 out of 5 by from Withstood PA weather torture test!!!!! I purchased this tent for camping with my family. We have had it set up in our back yard now for a week. We just had a nasty storm go through with torrential down pour and high wind. The tent did partially collapse from the wind pushing on the flexible poles and one stake pulled out of the ground. I went out as soon as the wind died down and pulled up on the collapsed pole and it sprung right back into place and shape. After the storm I found a little water in the corners and maybe a 1/4 cup of water that came in through the ground vent while the tent was collapsed. Overall it did GREAT!!! no rips that I have found so far and still standing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality comes at a price - Cheap Poles I was excited to set up my new tent in my backyard and was pretty bummed out to find that I had a broken rain fly pole right out of the package. I still wanted to set up the tent so I splinted the pole. After set up the second rain fly pole broke within 30 minutes. Overall the tent seems decent with easy setup and a good size. But the sacrificed on quality to produce an inexpesive product. Buyer beware. I would not recommend this to anyone looking for a tent that will last more than a couple of trips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Broken rain fly poles Like most people my rainfly poles broke after 2 uses. This fix may work for you. The poles are about 1 inch too long. I fixed the broken poles by punching the broken tip out of the metal sleeve with a small screwdriver. Then you can break these small 1 inch sections of fiberglass off of the elastic string with a hammer or I used a flat wire cutter to split mine off. Worked great after that. Now they are the proper length.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great tent expect for in wind We bought this tent, as a back up to the other one we have, since we have a family of 5. I like that its big, easy to put up! The only thing that I do not like about the tent is that its not great for the wind! We live in North Dakota and its windy here. The tent collapsed, multiple times on our camping trip due to the wind. To the point where my husband gave up and we packed up everything and went home. Don't get me wrong its a great tent. We like it. Its just not built to with stand the wind of North Dakota. Either that or we set it up wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seamless Floor We used this a couple of nights at an event and I was pleased that the floor is a solid piece tarp with no seams through it. It held up well to light-medium mud, and kept the rain off us. I do recommend setting it up once at home before taking it out. We ended up having to pitch it at 11:00 at night and it was a lot harder than it would have been if we knew what we were doing. Now that we've set it up once, I would say this is a VERY easy tent to set up, provided you read the directions and do it in order. It came down like a peach and folded up nicely into the provided bag.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Five Star Tent with Two Star Poles... Intended mainly for weekend camping. I got caught in a heavy thunderstorm the second time out. Strong winds, but nothing like Coleman shows in their testing videos. Heavy heavy rains. So first the positives. Woke up the next morning with the tent in three inches of water outside, but totally dry inside. The tent fabric and especially the floor, did an excellent job keeping the water out. My friends and I simply unstaked the tent and carried it to high ground. It is for this reason, I am going to keep the tent and repair the only negative, which are the poles. 10 sections were damaged in the thunder storm, mostly bent metal connector tube bits (easy fix to bend back in shape or replace), but 5 fiberglass sections where compromised or outright split. Will have to see what I have laying around to replace them. Otherwise the tent is well designed, comfortable, roomy, and well ventilated. I have faith in most of Colemans products, but these poles really let me down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap product Just bought this Red Canyon tent last year (having to replace one I bought the year before because of EXACT same problem). Already both rain fly poles have broken (this 4th July weekend) - while just doing their job of holding up the rain fly. No wind, nothing except normal tension. Trying to find the correct replacement kit, but when I click on specifications for the rain fly "replacement" kit tab there is NO information. As many others have mentioned this may be a repair, instead of a replacement kit (you would think they would update the product description). I need to know what is included, what are the dimensions (length, diameter, etc.) and the quantity of EACH part. Reading elsewhere these poles may be too large diameter and not long enough (if I wanted to repair the whole length as a true replacement kit would do).
