And because it's CPX® 6 compatible, you can easily transfer the same power source from a Coleman® CPX® 6 lantern to your tent lighting. If it rains, this tent Keeps You Dry…Guaranteed™, thanks to the WeatherTec™ system, which uses a tub floor with patented corner welds, protected seams, and a covered zipper to help keep water out. Meahwhile, the strong frame is tested to withstand 35+ MPH winds. You'll get even more weather protection from an included rainfly. Setup is simple with snag-free, continuous pole sleeves and Insta-Clip™ suspension. Good tent with a few flaws.
This was the first "new" Coleman tent my wife and I bought for ourselves. Prior to this one, we had hand me down Colemans from our family or cheaper off brand tents. We initially loved the tent even with the higher than most price tag. After about our third or fourth camping trip the plastic plates that hold the light and switch in place broke. Also we started noticing water would leak through the seems where the floor and side walls meet (about 6 inches from the ground) during mild to heavy rainfall. After a few more years we decided to try out another brand.
After a few seasons with a Coleman competitor we reverted back to our Coleman tent. I spent roughly $30 on replacement plates, new elastic string for one of the tent poles and a few cans of waterproofing spray. We are now happy with our tent again, we just feel these minor issues could have been addressed and corrected by Coleman prior to mass producing, as I have seen others with the same issues.
I definitely do not think the Coleman Brand I was brought up on as a child is as strong and durable today, but that seems true for most of the top outdoor companies from decades ago.
If you are looking to purchase this tent be sure to waterproof it ahead of time and be VERY gentle with the small plastic plates holding on the fan/light and switch.
