Rated 5 out of 5 by Amille from 24 Years So Far I spent $80 on one of these tents 24 years ago & still use it. When my kids were old enough to camp, I let them use this tent because it was so easy to set up. I just bought each of them their own. This humble tent has survived regular use in all 4 seasons of the Michigan & Wisconsin North woods. It has not let water in yet despite some impressive rain storms, though I do waterproof it every few years. I think I used seam sealer on it once or twice. Its all stained up from years of leaves, sap, pine needles, occasionally being wet in the bag for a week, but I think of it as patina. The floor has never torn, nor has the canvas. It even still smells ok inside. For $80.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Adam205 from Broken pole I love the look of this tent and has been happy with previous Coleman purchases. I bought this tent to introduce my girls to camping. I set it up after receiving it to apply a waterproofing agent to the fabric. I packed it up after drying and when I went to set up the tent a few weeks later for backyard camping, the elastic cord that holds the section together of one of the poles had split. This left me without a needed tent pole and no camping. Now I am looking at having to either purchase a replacement pole or looking elsewhere for a different tent. Has Coleman had other issues reported with the elastic cording?

Rated 1 out of 5 by casualcamper from Cheap but broke fast I acquired this tent in 4/2021 but did didn't use it until the next month. I had it on two camping trips total in 2021 and just brought it on the third trip for Memorial Day weekend this year. Two parts broke on that trip: one of the metal connectors at the end of the pole, and one of the plastic clips on the tent that hooks onto the poles. Just my luck, I was just one month out of the 12 month warranty period when it broke. All Coleman offered was a 20% off coupon which I personally would not spend more on a Coleman tent if I'm only going to get 3 uses out of it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by yodatazz from Easy Peezy Quick and easy to set up, lots of ventilation for warmer days, but not too good for colder days. Floor was surprisingly tough though. Haven't used it during any rainstorms yet so I can't comment on water resistance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by rayk86ss from My motorcycle tent I used this tent during a 2 week trip to Alaska and back. The tent kept me warm and dry on several rainy nights. There was plenty of room inside for all of my gear. This tent was about perfect for the trip. A lighter and more expensive backpacker's tent would have been much more expensive, but not really more functional.

Tent holds up well to frequent us I have owned two of these tents, one of which was a much older model that lasted me about 12 years (with frequent use!) before I finally bought a replacement. The only issues I had with the original were the usual wear and tear, and the only reason I bought a new model was because one of the lower corners in the tarp finally tore and was leaking when it rained. That being said, having held up for 12 years, I can't complain! I bought this model about a year ago and the only issue I've had thus far is that when placing the tent poles through the sleeves on the top of the tent, the rounded metal end of the pole cut against the thin fabric and created a couple of holes in it. This happened during one of my very first uses of the tent, so it wasn't due to overuse. The fabric is just thin and you have to be careful putting in the poles. Otherwise I've had no issues, even with frequent use. As a side note, I live in Washington and frequently camp when it's raining, and have had no issues with leaks. If you're in the market for a 3 person tent, this one is good for the asking price.

It’s really tough and sets up quick. Packs away small and light too. When the twins are a bit bigger I’m going to be purchasing another Sundome to replace the tent I’m using for them as the functionality and quality just isn't’ Colemans’

The tents denier (or thickness) will not provide adequate insulation from the elements. It may also freeze and split in colder temperatures.
