Rated 4 out of 5 by from Affordable, Good Tent Material, Very Spacious At 17X10, obviously, this is a LARGE tent. My wife, I and the dog like to have room to move around when camping. This tent provides that room. The tent wall material feels more substantial than your generic nylon tent. This is our 2nd modified dome tent so set up is pretty intuitive. Had it up in 20mins on first use. Door zipper was tight initially but after the material settled in it slid with no problem. One of the small poles for the tent fly awning snapped in two after set up. All Coleman warranty could provide was a generic pole replacement kit. Wrong size poles were shipped. Sent 9.5mm poles, needed 7mm to make a replacement. Purchased a 7mm kit from another vendor to make a replacement pole. Looking forward to camping with the tent again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tent My husband and I set up our new Red Canyon tent in our backyard yesterday. Although I am an agile 56 yr. old lady, I could not set it up by myself. I love the tent size, especilly the height and the tub floor. The tents' stability appears strong with the crossing poles design. The rainfly is more than adequate with small awnings over the door and back window. Last night, it rained without a drop of water inside and we have not water proofed it yet. So far, we are very pleased. It is a lot of tent for under $90. at Amazon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good tent I have got 2 of them I have been used this tent for camping over many weeks. When I lost the poles for the first one I bought another. Now this sets of poles have broken in 30 mph gusts. Having a hard time finding the replacement set since the model number no longer seems to exist. I would like to buy another set of poles for the tent. I cut out the front of the tent so I could pull my vehicles inside to work on them. Used the left over poles for another small tent I had. So after my hard use of this tent I give it 5 stars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Definitely did not hold up in the rain. I have been camping for 30+ years and never have I been so disappointed in a camping product I’ve bought. My wife, daughter, and I unfortunately had our recent camping trip cut short after just our first night due to this tent not keeping out the rain. We purchased this tent because of the WeatherTec system, its patented welded floors, inverted seams, water resistant rain fly with taped seams to keep us dry Incase we encountered any poor weather. Unfortunately this tent did not live up to its description and what I’ve always expected out of Coleman products. The kicker was, our camping mates had cheaper, lower end tents from different companies that held up very well. Unfortunately our gear was soaked and we could stay for our entire trip... needless to say my family was extremely sad and heartbroken.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Broken Pole on the first night of use The night got a bit windy and the main pole (Pole A) broke. It's was only our first usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waterproof, sound, and sturdy! We received this tent as a Christmas gift. We love it! Our family of 4 fits in here just right. We have a queen sized raised air mattress, plus 2 twin size floor air mattresses. We still have room for the bags and other items without anything touching the sides of the tent. The first time we set it up in our yard, we made sure to leave it up through a storm that came through. It poured on this tent and the water just beaded right off of it (obviously the rainfly was on, too). Checked it out afterwards and not a drop inside. We did a week long camping trip to door county and there was another few rounds of rainstorms that came through, one night it was a crazy amount of rain and still nothing wet in the tent! I think one of the great features that allows it to be so waterproof is that the tarp-like material comes up about 6-8 inches all the way around the base of the tent. The only drawback or con that we found - and maybe this is completely normal with new tents, but the set-up of this tent is pretty snug. We've tried it both ways, giving it slack, and making it taught, and it still was snug when setting it up. So much so, that the door can be a little hard to open, so just be careful with the zipper and watch your seams if that is the case. Otherwise, enjoy a nice dry bed and floor with this great tent!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good except for rain. I have used this tent for scout family camping maybe 10 times; however, this last trip when it finally rained on our campout it failed. The rainfly poles broke a few trips ago justvlike in other reviews they snapped at the ends near the metal on 2 poles and another pole splintered. Well without these poles at 4:30 am my scouts were drenched and flooded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome tent Great tent for the money. Used it for 6 days, including a couple of pretty heavy rain and wind days. Held up great. Highly recommend. We used for 3 adults and had plenty of room for us and our stuff.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Warm weather only I own this tent and it’s fine for warm weather camping. My complaint with it (and if I’d known this before hand I would not have bought it) is the vents in the roof ends can not be closed. We took it when the weather dropped to the lower 40s overnight and all this tent did was keep the dew. As cold inside as out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Tent, could be better Bought this for the family of 4. It's big, able to fit 2 queen size air matresses and plenty of room for gear. Set up fairly simple, but way easier with 2 people rather than 1. It's hot during the day. Wish there was a way to put a reflective coating/overlay to block the heat from coming in.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Crap from Bangladesh...broken tent poles .. 4 uses This was a gift to me. Looked great the first use. Main poles were broken after 4 th use. Tried to call support only to get into a wicked web of click 1,2, etc. got the correct sequence but no answer. I still cherish my 30 plus year-old stove and lamp. But this tent is just broken. Sad.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Windows don’t close. I am from Argentina, weather in Buenos Aires is never really cold. Since you can’t close the windows we had a draft going through the tent the whole SUMMER night. Really uncomfortably cold. I would return it if I was closer to US. Really dislike it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size, durable and priced right We got this tent to do rustic down to earth camping. Our boys also LOVE taking it out tent camping with their best friends. We always say if you take care of something it'll last for a good long time. So we'll have this wonderful tent for a good while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why can't I buy from coleman I love this tent! We've had one for 8 seasons and camp 6 weekends per season. I'm shopping for another, but I'm diasappointed that even with my 30% off option I can get it for $30 less at Cabelas, Walmart or from Amazon. Your pricing is whacked!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality control We purchased this used in one time poles snapped both rain fly and a main pole splinter. After one night the screens are undoing themselves. So not bad for good weather but if you need to depend on good rain protection go with a different tent.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Broken rainfly pole Set this tent up for the first time and by morning the rainfly pole was broken. No wind, rain, outside elements were good. Just a broken rainfly pole. Trying to find a part number to have it replaced. Cannot find it anywhere.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Why can't they address the obvious pole problems!? I purchased 2 of the Red Canyons over 2 seasons. I like pretty much everything about the tent, except the rainfly poles are absurd. ALL of my rainfly poles - both sets - have snapped after less than 5 uses.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looked like a great tent...but We've only used this tent twice since purchasing it. First time we used it, both rain fly poles broke. Was able to tape them up to use them, but they shouldn't need replacing the first time out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Impressed At All! So far a 1 year old tent and the poles are crumbling apart. Very weak! Coleman web site is very weak as well! Why don't you have a link for replacement poles with the tent?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit For our family this is perfect. It allows the space I need to maintain everything clean and orderly, while the family still gets to have fun without the nag from mom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great starter tent We got this for a camping trip and and it did such a great job. It was an easy set up and folded down so well. I would definitely recommend for beginner campers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best tent if you take care of it Love this tent so much. Unfortunatly its waterproofing goes out but i think its normal. Itll get a new coat. Still will do everything i can for it

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Waterproof Rain dripped down into the tent after second use. I'd rather deal with the extra weight and warmth as long as it is actually waterproof.
