Switching off the lantern automatically disengages batteries from the circuit to extend battery life by up to 25%. How do I replace batteries It won't come apart!

Hello. Thank you for reaching out to us. To replace the batteries, you would need to firmly grip the base of the lantern and twist it counterclockwise. It might require a bit of force if it&rsquo;s tightly sealed. Once the base is off, you should see the battery compartment. Remove the old batteries and insert new ones.
