They do a great job of lighting the area and setting a boundary for the kids to stay within. With some engineering of our own we’ve even heated a can or two of soup when the stove was left behind!

Throws off a nice bright light and can be moved around the campsite to where it’s needed. Did not use it in the tent because of the fuel and flame. Saved the battery operated lights for that purpose

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this for outdoor and camping 🏕 After using the Coleman Powerhouse Dual Fuel Lantern, I can say it's one of the most reliable lanterns I've ever owned. From the first time you turn it on, you can feel the power of its brightness, ideal for illuminating an entire campsite or a large area without needing multiple lights. I found its dual-fuel system (white or unleaded gasoline) to be very practical, especially when you're in places where the same type of fuel isn't always available. The construction is completely robust and durable; you can tell it's built to withstand rough use and outdoor conditions. One fuel charge lasts quite a while, allowing me to go several nights without refilling, a huge plus when you're away from it all. The sound of the burner lighting gives that classic sense of adventure, and the light is clean, constant, and very bright, with no annoying flickering. The only drawback is that you have to learn how to light it and adjust the pressure, but once you get the hang of it, it works perfectly. In short, the Powerhouse Dual Fuel Lantern is an indispensable camping or emergency companion, featuring Coleman-tested quality and performance that exceeds expectations.
