Rated 2 out of 5 by from Coleman: Pricing themselves out of usefulness. Coleman has never been a brand that is synonymous with quality, but they used to offer decent products at affordable prices. Unfortunately they went the way all the other big brands went. This lantern is decent for someone that camps very occasionally. It’s a pretty shoddy made lantern and the worst thing is the replacement globe cost half the price of the lantern itself. Nobody carries the replacement globes in stores that I have found, so when it does break, you’re out not only your light source for the rest of your trip, you’re going to be paying 50% of the cost of the entire lantern for a piece of glass and waiting for it to come in the mail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reliable Wow.... with the 1000 lumens it REALLY LIGHTS UP your area :) the reliable name of Coleman didn't let us down with this lantern! You don't even need a lighter or matches to light it! It's way more compact than the older versions.. so nice for packing and taking wherever u need to. The globe is fixed onto it... sonit won't move around... make noises and break when u have it packed up :) the travel bag is not the greatest.... but really... who uses that most of the time. There is a nice bit of space from handle to lantern itself... so u won't get burned carrying it around. 4 stars cause the case... other than that... it's GREAT

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Threads stripped after two uses I used this lantern two times and it was fabulous, put out a lot of light, easy to light and stays lit for hours. However, this weekend when I tried to use it on our camping trip, the propane tanks wouldn’t screw on; I tried several tanks so it was the threads on the lantern that were stripped. I’d like to get another like this but fear the same thing would happen again. Now I have a green lantern paperweight,

Only complaints are it has froze up in the cold on me and the Insta light doesn't always work, but nothing that is a big deal. I've got two old Coleman white fuel lanterns I use if it's too cold out.

The Coleman name is the solid bet on product from camp stoves to make break lunch and dinner. And propane lanterns to light the night and keep all the kids feeling safe with plenty of light. They are the only company I’d trust to keep our families camping adventures fun and safe. Keep up the great work

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best These are the best lanterns. Not only are they great for light when camping, they've saved me on the farm a few times. We once had an unexpected flash flood, I rushed home to find my chick's barely alive. Power was out of course, I brought them in the bathroom and got out my lantern to provide heat. An hour later chick's were alive and well like nothing happened. My Coleman lantern stays out year around incase of emergencies.
