Huge Tent For The Whole Family
If you’ve ever been camping and had to set up a tent then you know some can be challenging. This large Instant 10 Person Tent by Coleman takes away all the frustrations of setting up camp. This large tent has instant set up and is ready to go in about a minute. I like it’s large size to where it can easily accommodate 4 Queen Size air mattresses. This tent also has a room divider if your looking for privacy. This tent has some incredible features that keeps water out, keeps the inside cooler on hotter days, and has a screened porch. My favorite thing about this tent is that it blocks out 90% of sunlight with its dark room technology. Overall this is a magnificent tent and can be used all year long.

More expensive than a two night hotel room.
I've had a similar experience as others that a storm with up to 20 mph winds blew in and collapsed the tent. I had it tied off to a canopy and the truck and guy lines and still kept collapsing. There's not enough tie downs and the connections on the frame are weak, they would rather collapse then keep the tent up. We used it once. One of the legs broke, I asked if they had a replacement frame I could BUY, they wanted a picture even after providing model number and name of tent. Was going to try and salvage it but definitely going to chalk it up to gear testing and toss it. There's other companies with better tents for same price. Steer clear of this tent 10000% whether you stick with coleman or not.

Not What Coleman Used To Be
The tent is huge! Plenty of room to keep the entire family. There are problems. The dark lasts one season before the small specs of light start to bleed through. By the following season, the tent will be no darker than any other tent. It is good at keeping the wind moving through the tent. While good for the summer and spring, it is not great in fall and winter. The mesh is not strong and can be ripped fairly easy. The seams are absolutely horrible, but once you use a seam sealant, problem solved. The last problem is that the material allows the moisture to bleed through rather easily.

In a year, with only 3 uses, the dark room technology layer is peeling in multiple places. The walls also do not hold straight, especially with the door pole in the front, resulting in rain seeping.

Not waterproof
This was for a 4 day camping trip in NY. We rode motorcycles from Charlotte to NY and the last night camping we got caught in a rainstorm. Both door zippers leaked causing 4 inch deep puddling on both ends. Personal electronics got damaged, clothing for the 2 day trip back to NC got soaked. Ruined the last night and the trip back home. Extremely disappointed in this tent. Customer service resolved my issue satisfactorily but do not purchase this tent expecting it to be water resistant.

Quality defect in strap stitching
I am very disappointed in the quality and process control of the tent I bought. The pole lower straps and the stitching did not align to the tent based, thus causing the straps to tear as I was inserting the pole into the male holder. I used paper clips to hold the pcs together for the first broken one, then I had to use rope to tie up the other corner that tore off. I wanted to make sure this does not happen to anyone else. Check the strap and stitching on all lower pole inserts

Tent is nice but why is there website so bad?
I cant understand why their website doesn't have a way to search parts easily? Also, why don't they have a parts list for the models they have out? The swing door broke on the first campout and now I have to spend 3 phone calls to try and get the part I need!
Spend some time and money on your site.

Fantastic overall, but not for use in the rain.
Pros: Very spacious. Tall Center (I’m 6’ 2” and can stand up easily in the center area). Easy set up. Great door (has a rod that allows the door to simply swing open and closed without having to use the zipper. Plenty of pockets. The Dark Room Technology seems to work – this tent is cooler than others in the sun.
Cons: Leaks at the floor seam and everywhere something is attached to the walls (pockets, etc.). Waterproofing helped, but didn't prevent the leaks.

Easily Broken Hinges
This tent was nice while it lasted, but today it broke. We were putting it away at the end of a camping trip and heard a snap and the middle hinges for the middle poles both broke. I took the hinges off to look at them and they don't look like quality products. The plastic looked like it just got brittle too easy and at least one of the screws were just threaded into plastic. I can't recommend this tent because of the hinges. They seem like they will fail too easily.

Costco made a mistake on this one
May 2019 I purchased this tent, and it seemed like a good deal at the time. However, we have since learned several important things about this tent. The tent looks good, and does block out light. But, it gets hotter than hades inside the tent. And little bit of rubbing removes the light blocking. The fabric nicks easily, and the seams are not sealed. We had a very light rain one day (less than 0.10 inch of rain) and the next morning, there was a LARGE collection of dew on the underside of the rainfly, resulting in contents inside the tent getting wet. The rainfly does not stop rain from coming in the doors, which it should do. The doors have zippers which do have covers over them, but they catch and jam easily. Not fun in the middle of the night. With only 6 uses, we see light through the fabric now, on the rainfly and the tent sides, even though we are careful in assembling and disassembling the tent. Not sure I can return it at this point to Costco, but I am going to try. DON'T BUY IT. Don't even buy it used.

If the price were better, I’d buy my 4th one.
OK, ordered this exact tent 3 times from AMAZON- yes, THREE times. I am VERY, VERY impressed. The second one I ordered was up in my back yard (staycation man cave) LITERALLY FOR THREE YEARS. I live in savannah and we’ve had major hurricanes and this tent stood (see images). After 3 years, it, expectedly, started to become brittle and developed tears, but yeah, Gorilla Tape did the trick for a while. The third tent i received used from AMAZON for $287 (so it was a no brainer) but those hurricanes sought Vengence and not only took out my 11’ cantilevered 360 spin umbrella, but also sent another umbrella i had up (i was stoopid) through the tent. It was in DIRECT sun for an extended period so the inner coating began to peel. I now have a Walmart tent up 8’x17’, but it’s thin and flimsy. I miss my Coleman. HOW DO I ADD IMAGES??? YOU GUYS GOTTA SEE THIS!

Good tent - Great Company
This tent is fantastic. I love the swing door, the height, the Dark Room Technology, etc., etc., etc. It does leak, though. Nothing other's haven't said.
This review is more about the company. I informed Coleman of my issues, and they were extremely understanding and helpful. I own a lot (a whole lot) of Coleman products. So I was very pleased that the company stands behind its brand.
And again, this is a great tent.

Non functional on arival
I picked one up at the start of the COVID19 thing for a trip that got cancled. 3 months latter I finally get a chance to set it up and I find one of the poles doesn't extend, and the joint for that pole was installed upside down.
I didn't use it in poor weather, but I definatly need to find time and a place to set it up to seal the seams once I can find a replacement pole for that corner.

Great Family Tent
This tent was my second tent I purchased from Coleman after camping several seasons with my daughter. This can be put up and taken down in minutes by one person. This is key when camping with little children. I am usually the first tent up on Fridays because of the ease allowing me to sit back and enjoy mother nature or give a helping hand to my fellow campers with their tents. This tent has made my camping experience so much more enjoyable.

Poor quality management!
Received this tent in the mail today 7/13/23. Set up in backyard to try out and collapsed during gust of wind. Planned on taking this tent up for a 10 day trip to Maine. Thank god I set it up before then or else my trip would’ve been ruined. Material wasn’t that great and some of the guy lines were missing hooks. Also there was a hole in the top fabric. Poor quality management!
