This is a waste of of money was excited how dark it was but when wind gust of 12 miles an hour picked up the tent folded up and poles broke in the hindges biggest disappointment Coleman did replaced it but 2 years later same situation and again broke and snapped into pieces called cold for help and they did nothing about it what a disgrace and disappointment

I purchased this tent through an open box store and am glad I did this tent is so easy to set up very spacious and with he dark room am able to sleep in a bit without being woken by bright sunlight ... have had it for over a year now and gone through 7 or 8 camping trips only issue is trying to find a replacement rainfly and my kids tore the carry bag

Trouble with wind
I don’t know if I was doing something wrong but the end poles wouldn’t stand up to another 15-20 mph wind. Collapsed one end so many times that it wasn’t worth the purchase. Loved the size and ease in setup as well as room darkening effect. If anyone has trick or advise on how to keep top corner joints from collapsing in wind I would appreciate

Love, love the dark room technology!
The dark room technology is amazing. It buys me a couple extra hours of sleep while camping. I'm marking this down because the door pole is broken and I can not seem to find a replacement part for it. We've set the tent up for four different camping trips. The door pole lasted two and it still holding on with duct tape but not working great.

Spacious tent with great ventilation and dark room comfort.
This tent is very spacious and looks perfect for large family camping trips. I like the dark room feature because it helps block sunlight and makes sleeping more comfortable. Can’t wait to go camping!
This tent is awesome. It’s perfect for our big family and we can’t wait to use it when it warms up. It’s great that this tent has the blackout feature with having kids and the cooling aspect as well. Also super nice that it’s weatherized so no water can leak in if it happens to rain! The set up seems super easy which is awesome.

Not Waterproof!
1st camping trip and had a rain shower this morning while sleeping with the rain fly on and woke up to the back room flooded with random puddles everywhere. I made sure nothing was pressing along the side of the tent, and rain fly etc. was secured properly to the ground. NOT Happy, waste of 199.99+ dollars! 1x use!

Favorite Tent
We really enjoy how this tent is dark inside. Early morning sunrise will not wake you up that is for sure. Is it cooler? We live in Arizona so I don't think any tent is going to feel cooler. It is nice that you can open all the windows and have almost a screened room and the sun doesn't shine through the dark sides. In Arizona that is a plus! The hinged door is nice because you don't have to zip and unzip every time you enter and exit. It has become our favorite tent.
However, recently while camping there was a wind storm. We had the tent staked and all guylines and fly attachments in place. During the storm one roof pole shattered and one side pole bent. One of the lines on the corner of the tent came out of the seam and the shattered pole made a small rip in the rainfly. To put this in perspective these were severe winds! Later reports said up to 60 mile an hour gusts! So, overall I think we came out ok. Just sad that if we can't replace the poles we have lost our favorite tent.

Worth the money
My family loves the tent we only have 4 of us but we have plenty of space and love the darkness. And the simplicity of setting it up and taking it down. I'd buy the same one over again. Last time we used it we got a lot of rain on our last night of camping and nothing got wet inside at all.

We camped in this tent twice. Both times it rained. Both times we got wet. The second time was in a minor thunderstorm overnight and it completely collapsed on us. We had it tied down and everything. This is the biggest piece of junk I’ve ever camped in. Don’t waste your money on this crap

This is such a nice tent! I’m super excited to go camping with it! Thankyou influenster for sending me this product for free to try and review! It’s a 10 person tent with a weather proof tarp and you can take it off to get 90% sunlight. It’s amazing. This is a $500 tent I got for free!

Spaceous, easy to set-up, tough to put away
I was super excited to receive this tent to review as I haven't had a tent this large since I went camping with my dad years ago. Set-up for this tent was super simple, and with the help of two others I had it up in less than 2 minutes. Inside was super spaceous and having the removeable piece to hold the door open or closed was a great addition. The dark room cover definitely helped keep the light out when enjoying a snooze. When breaking it down to put away, it was quite difficult to put it together exactly the way we first received it, and we even had to expand the bag it came in just to fit it. My only two complaints with this tent include the cheap bag it comes in as it feels like it will rip when you pick it up, and secondly, I wish the poles for the tent were on the inside to give the tent more shape and to look more modern. Tents have been around for years, so unsure why they haven't mastered this yet. Overall, super satisfied with it but unless I camp weekly, I would go with a cheaper option.

We own several Coleman products and very pleased with all but this 10 person dark room tent with rain fly is awesome. Plenty room for the whole family and we are late sleepers so we don’t have to worry about early morning sunlight. Very sturdy in rough weather and easy to put up

I love this 10-person tent. It's roomy enough for my family. I like that it has a room divider as well as a hook for a lamp. The dark tent technology works well. I especially appreciate this when it's time for my child's nap. It is easy to set up. Only took us about 10 minutes

Functional if its not raining.
This tent is roomy enough but has one big drawback, when it rains there is no way to get in and out of the the tent without rain coming straight in the door.
The rain fly sheets the rain down off the roof and it drops right where the door is. this creates a sheet of water that fills up the entry whenever you need to enter or exit. Coleman tents always used to have a small awning at the entrance to their tents that prevented this. you could store some chairs out the front, put a mat there to keep the mud out etc. not anymore in tents of this size. I guess its cheaper to reduce the amount of fabric.
If there was an extension on one end, this would be a solid tent for a family. As it stands I would look for something else. Our last Coleman tent lasted 12 years, we only got rid of it because something got caught in the zipper and broke it. I am looking to replace this one after 2 years just because its not fun to camp in while raining. I wish they still sold the old one! I would buy that again in a heartbeat!

We love this tent!
We truly love this tent. It’s made with a high quality material that keeps out the elements of nature. The blackout curtains are serious business and even in midday sun, you can nap as though it’s the middle of the night. The inside is roomy and spacious. High quality tent.

Setup takes longer if not an expert
Huge size tent. I will say that it did take longer for us to setup but we aren’t any experts when it comes to pitching tents. I like how it can block the light and reduce the heat. As for weather, I am unsure how well it would do. We using it to camp out in the backyard.

Worst tent I've ever owned
They call it a 10 man tent because it requires 10 to put it up. Tubes bind up tight in plastic conection slides. Spring loaded tube locks didn't snap out to lock tubes. I owned it for more than a year before I used it so I couldn't return it. Extremely poor construction!

Not good in rain or wind.
In theory this is a great tent but if you get any bit of rain you will get wet. We have had to set a tarp up over our tent every camping trip and this last one the wind collapsed the tent on us despite our tarp. We will be getting rid of this tent. Do not recommend.

Good tent but broke
Cool Tent but it broke the 2nd time we set it up. The joints that connect the pole broke. They are just plastic. It should be an easy fix if Coleman has the parts.
Camped in the hot sun I think that it kept a little bit cooler.

I built it right when i got it just so i could get a feel of the tent but forgot to take pictures.This tent is awesome! It fits lots of people and blocks out sunlight so you can sleep better. It's easy to set up too. Perfect for big groups and comfy camping!
