Rated 3 out of 5 by melonkossy from Nice tent I received this product for free from Coleman and Influenster in exchange for my honest review. This is overall a nice tent. It is easy to put up and take down, although it does have some quirks. The buttons used to extend/retract the support arms got stuck sometimes, and the arms were a little picky about their positioning when retracting. Taking it down was a little confusing, as the arms bend inward. We were afraid we might break the arms if we bent them inward, but it was the correct method. Rolling up the tent and putting it back in the bag was not hard, but it does not roll up as tightly as it came out. The strings used to tie the tent up barely reach, and the tent itself barely fit back into the bag. We had to force it to zip back up, and the extra pieces (stakes, rain guard, etc) would not fit in the bag along with the tent. We have to store them separately. A larger bag would be a big plus. The tent itself appears to be a nice material, and the blackout feature is really nice as well. The inside of the tent is roomy and cool. Set up is quick and easy, but sometimes frustrating when the buttons and/or arms aren't cooperating.

It has so many features to rave about, a wonderful storage bag with handles making it easy to carry and to store, weather etc system to keep out rain with welded/ patched corners and edges, dark room technology to keep the sun out/ people from be able to see inside and most off all to keep the heat out and temps cooling when inside the tent, pockets for storing your things inside of the tent when it’s set up and in use, a divider to separate “rooms” in the tent, reflective lines to see easier at night, e-port to bring power into the tent if you wanted to, fits 4 queen size air mattresses! Wow! I know that’s a lot, but it has it all! As far as setting up, I will have to come back and update that once winter is over and we put it to use but I’ve read some reviews and as far as I can see everyone says it is a quick and easy setup so that’s a huge plus! The product comes with a 1 year limited warranty and it is priced very affordable for what it offers and how many people it can fit inside (10) for a nice getaway camping trip weekend! That’s a deal breaker for me. Cannot wait until winter is over to get this thing put to good use!

This tent worked out perfectly for us as it has so much room inside, we have room for all of our beds (3 twins and a queen) and have half the tent left over for extra space! The best part is the ease of setup. We had this fully set up in less than 5 minutes. I imagine next time it will take much less time since we know how to do it now. Taking it back down took a little more time since we had to figure out how to fold up the 2 middle posts. They did not retract in the same way as the other 4 posts. Finally, we figured out we had to disconnect these 2 poles at the bottom and then fold inward. Next time, I'm sure it will take less than 3 minutes to take down. This is a great feature as it's always such a hassle getting tents set up. Now we have more time to spend on more important things such as family time! Another amazing feature of this tent is the dark room technology. The ability to keep it cooler in the tent is a huge selling point when camping in the hot summer! It's also nice to have 2 doors for convenience. The materials seem to be well made, and I suspect this tent will last us for quite a few years. If you are looking for a roomy tent, I would highly recommend this 10-person, dark room technology tent from Coleman. We look forward to summertime so we can use it more frequently.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Midlifeisfun from Love the dark and the swing door features Have had a Coleman 2 person done tent forever and decided we needed more room to hold our stuff and wanted to be able to stand up inside the tent. Read lots of reviews and decided on the dark room because I struggle falling asleep when it is light. It is absolutely pitch black at night, this feature is awesome! Love the extra space we have to move around. Based on reviews I also bought some seam sealer and applied it to anywhere I could see daylight through the tent before our first trip. Have used it 4 times so far in 2020, in two light rains in SW Ohio/IN, and it has stayed dry inside so far. It is easy to assemble and disassemble, can be done by one person but two is better. The poles fit tightly and the last time I set it up it was windy and as I was in the process of taking it down, the strap where the pole attaches on a little plastic cup ripped. I cut off a strap from a back pack and sewed it back on, not sure yet if it will hold, but the other straps are also looking thin, so may have to repair others. This is disappointing, but I would still recommend this tent. The only other issue is the swing door, which we love, but it takes some effort to shut it so that there are no gaps for bugs to come in because it droops a little. Bought it from Costco, I would say that it provides the shelter we need and the dark room technology exceeded our expectations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from It's an ok tent It took me maybe 15 minutes to put this up by myself pretty easy but one of the elbow joints kinda jammed up on me. After it was up and i put the top cover on i noticed that it could have used something to hold the sides up and out a bit more as the sides bow out and if it rains i dont see the top cover doing much to guide it away from the sides. There are 2 doors and one is a D style swing door that functions well and is more convenient then the basic tent door for going in and out. This tent could hold 10 people but with sleeping mats you would be shoulder to shoulder sleeping so maybe more like 6 people maybe if you dont want to be right up on each other. Through out the hole tent there are only 2 hanging storage pouches which isnt alot if you did have a lot of people staying in this tent. Lots of windows for ventilation on nice days. The divider that you can put up to make this.2 rooms, kinda seems pointless considering there are big gaps on either side and you can see through it. The tent is pretty dark as it claims but you do get quite a bit of lit comming theough the top even.with the cover and a good amount of light from the section that runs around the bottom of the tent where the bottom and sides connect. Taking it down took about the same amountof time as putting it up minis putting it all back in the storage bag. I wouldnt say it is the best but its a pretty decent tent with a nice amount of room.

Our old pole tent did collapse in stronger winds, but it never leaked so much as a drop of water. After 9 years, I wanted something a little bigger and quicker to set up. This tent is easy to put up and take down. The darkening is phenominal if you like to sleep a little later in the mornings. It is a little cooler during hot summer days, but not much. Still need to crack a window. The legs of this tent buckle at the joints for any wind stronger than a breeze. You can adjust the legs and guy lines all day long, but they will lay over flat and collapse and create a vaccuum inside of the tent. My son was sleeping on the floor when the wind picked up in the night. I woke up to one side of the tent collapsed. The material had engulfed him and he could not get out. Imagine sucking all of the air out of a storage bag. I cant say if he was in imminent danger or not, but Iwas about to panic and trying to get him out The joints of the legs would not lock when I pushed them up from the inside. I was able to open the windows on my side and push up one pole enough for him to get up. We had to go to the car until the storm passed bacause the tent would not stand in the wind. It wasnt a classic KS/OK storm with high winds. Maybe 15-20mph. After the storm passed, the tent went right back up, but the joints would collapse spontaneously. They weren't secure after that. We had about 2 inches of water inside of the tent after the storm. We spent the next day drying out clothes and blankets. We're looking for something different this year.
